  1. Definitely. I've been out of college for a few years now and have been working as an SLPA for 2, but got into 2 grad programs with a 3.1 GPA and worse Quant GRE scores. That's not to say you'll get into every school you apply to (hardly anyone does), but I am sure you will get in somewhere. I applied to 15 schools, got into 1 expensive private school and 1 cheaper state school. I chose the cheaper option. Make sure to use ASHA Edfind and each school's specific website to find out which ones accept students with stats like yours. Also, use your work/ volunteer experiences in your statements of purpose as much as you can. If you have any other questions i'd be more than happy to answer. Good luck!
  2. Thank you for such a helpful response! I used most of this in my email to the school
  3. Due to unexpected financial/ family reasons, I can no longer attend the school I committed to and was supposed to attend this September. The exact process varies by program, but what is the best way to go about this? Should I just email admissions and give them the honest reason for my decision? Any other etiquette tips aside from being professional and thanking them for their time/ consideration? Thank you in advance!
