I emailed them and they said the same… fingers crossed we hear something soon. Good or bad, I am just ready for this to be over.

I’d rather commiserate with random other people on the internet than spiral alone! Lots of people use this thread to talk with others in a positive way. I know I don’t have anyone in real life that I can talk about my nerves with, I’m sure other people here feel the same.

They do maintenance every week. The maintenance that "matters" should show on this page according to other posters: https://www.research.gov/grfp/Login.do

That's horrible! Honestly, how I view it- you NEVER know with things like this and grad school applications overall. It always seems semi-random to me. Just relax and don't listen to people who try to suck away your happiness. Have faith.

Are they sending the letters via pigeon?

Hopefully, but probably not. Fed employees are only getting a 4.6% raise for COL (as proposed by the white house today) which is pretty much pennies since inflation is double that. I tried to contact my program to ask for a raise because of inflation, and they ghosted me. LOL

I feel like I have everything else in order besides this! I already know where I’m going, I’m going early to start research, I just need a place to live and to know if I’m getting external fellowship!!! Ugh. The wait continues. #6pages

I think we should know tomorrow if it will be Tuesday- past years indicate there is usually scheduled maintenance on the Monday before... fingers crossed

Trying to resurrect this thread just to see… I am an incoming Physics PhD student. Is it even possible to get a 1 bedroom on a graduate stipend at Penn State these days? My 12 month funding is a whopping 30,400. Maybe I’m not looking in the right places, but rent seems insane. I’m considering just buying a home instead.

Trying to decide if I should stay up until 11pm tonight to see if the maintenance does anything ?
