  1. Did anyone get invited to NYU Management visit day?
  2. They said they'd reach a decision by this month.
  3. Just got off an interview with them. I applied for the strategy track.
  4. Good to hear, thanks! It's the only school (that I care about at least) left where I don't know my status yet. Looking forward to get it over with and just forget about everything until results arrive.
  5. I was told there would be an offline campus visit, but only for applicants in the US (I'm international btw). About Carlson, I don't think it's a bad signal, it's just something some schools do. They don't want to waste their time giving out offers to people who are more likely to join a different program.
  6. WUSTL Olin said they'd make a decision before March. Carlson is also not in a rush, judging from what I've heard. Lower ranked schools usually take their time to see if the applicants get better offers first.
  7. Ross already sent out interviews, but I haven't heard from UNC either.
  8. I'm having the interview next Friday (could have been Thursday if I wanted), so 9-10 days. I was also sent a recent research paper in my area and was asked to submit a 1-2 page reaction paper before the interview.
  9. I got an email 3 days ago to schedule an interview. Strategy area
  10. I guess you're right. I decided to go with my initial choice.
  11. Hey guys, Strategy applicant here, still working on my application packet. I'm curious, what are your 'name-dropping' strategies in your SOPs? I find some schools pretty easy to identify whom to mention in my SOP, but some really difficult. In one school, I found multiple assistant profs. with great fit, but none with a higher rank. Do you think it's okay to mention them anyways? I heard somewhere that mentioning assistant profs. is a bit risky because you don't know if they'd be sticking around for the duration of your program. I can think of a couple of tenured faculty members I can mention if I stretch my interests enough, but I'm worried I might come off as insincere. Any thoughts? What's the general rule when it comes to writing down faculty members?
