  1. Stuck between Vandy IGP and Boston University PiBS... Boston is a great city for biology but so expensive and hard to find housing, Nashville would be much more affordable... does anyone happen to have advice on what you would pick?
  2. Congrats to you both!! Could I ask how soon after your interview you were notified? I interview with Vanderbilt next week and was wondering if I might have to wait all the way to March to finally find out haha
  3. Hi! This may be a dumb question but I was wondering if anyone had advice on what to wear for interviews? I have 2 that are in-person (fingers crossed they stay that way, lol!) and I've never really done anything like this before so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of being over or underdressed... are ballet flats acceptable type shoes or are they not lab appropriate? Is a blazer too dressy? Does anyone have stores they recommend for shopping for this stuff (female)? My lab rn is super casual and all of my presentations have been over zoom so I've never had to worry about this and am afraid of looking out of place in a business casual setting ? Thanks so much!
  4. Just got interview invite for Boston PiBS!!! So excited!!
  5. Hi everyone! I applied to Pitt Molecular & Cellular, Boston University Molecular & Cellular, Boston University PiBS, University of Cincinnati Molgen, Brandeis Molecular and Cellular, UW MCB, Vanderbilt IGP, and Harvard BBS. 3.9 GPA from small liberal arts college (currently a senior) and 1 first author bioinformatics type pub but only about <1 year of bench research experience in a small undergrad lab (covid + small school = not much opportunity :| ) so I am feeling pretty nervous ? but I was contacted for an interview from Brandeis so I'm stoked about that!!
