bummer. I was disappointed in my verbal score too and took it around the same time you did. In practice tests I was scoring MUCH higher. I think it is just the luck of the draw with what words you get. At least my Q was decent at 760.
Perhaps you can call ETS and ask if there are options to cancel your score reporting? I know that they take 10-15 days to send out the report...
wow that's an awesome verbal score, congrats! from what I've read many research-based programs put more emphasis on the quantitative section, but I think your scores are still strong from what I've seen of the averages. I get the impression that an awful GRE will keep you out, but an ok to great one won't do much at all.
I'm guessing that deferral of private loans will depend on the lending institution, right?
Does anyone have a good phone number to call for these same questions? I consolidated my loans when I graduated in 2003 and definitely want to keep my awesome rate I also seem to remember reading somewhere that married persons' loans are considered together and was curious if that meant they would both be deferred while one is in school...(wishful thinking perhaps)
