Got an update from SFU. They will send the result by the end of this week. Be prepared.

hmmmm... I was just wondering when will they let us know...if it is an acceptance then how would I manage all the things .... VISA, air ticket etc.????

I have applied in ECE; got a recommendation from a faculty member, still my case is in review stage. don't know whats next.

Now, its a Rejection.

Now, its a rejection from Uof Alberta as I had anticipated. only one option left!!!

I got e-mail from SFU that they are still reviewing my application. hah ! and Uni of Alberta told me that I will get the Final decision at Last week of this month, which will obviously a rejection as I just found out that some one with 2 conference papers+2 years of research experience + 1 year of Industrial experience got rejected from the ECE dept. of Alberta for Fall 2011!

I am just out of my concentration in my office, smoking extensively and obviously checking my mail box every now and then. It is really painful!

I don't think that they are really interested, as the graduate admission secretary left the office early today. I just called at the university reception and found out that.

Just got someone who picked up the phone form u of Alberta ECE and told me that the Administrator is on leave and won't be available till Wednesday

Well, the update is, ECE graduate application Administrator didn't reply my mail and I am sure of my application status that Its a "REJECTION". Finger crossed for you guyz. all the best.

SORENA Well I will update my status. I haven't got any recommendation from any of the faculty members of U of Alberta. Only one professor replied my mail and told me that he won't take new graduate student this year becoz all his funding is dedicated to his current students. Seems like my chance is very very poor.

Sent an e-mail asking about my application status last night to U of Alberta graduate admission assistant. don't know what is waiting for me and I am worried to check my U of Alberta mail box.

At least you have a provision to call them. In my case, they don't even receive long distance call.

another week has passed and there is nothing yet ! last week of April, I am looking around if somethings come up.

@bachkn I have got a conditional recommendation from a professor of SFU but not any from Alberta. Well, this waiting is killing me !

Its seems like there is no hope for me .... every day I am counting and "acceptance" is fading away from my mind. Any one got any info from U of Alberta ECE department? or SFU ECE department?
