    Once I made a decision I sent personal emails back to professors that reached out thanking them and letting them know I had made a decison for anotherr program.

    Hey @blumeenez - have you heard back from Alfred? I interviewed as well and thought I'd hear back this week since it's been 3 weeks now but nothing yet ☹️

    no, actually it was my bottom choice so not a huge loss for me. I mostly applied because of Beili Liu whose work I think is awesome and she's actually on a Fullbright in Norway so not even sure if she woud lbe there.

    Update: rejection notice from UT Austin yesterday. It's actually a relief at this point just to get news so things don't feel so up in the air!

    Hey there fellow sculptors! I interviewed with Alfred (no decisins till MArch) and Purchase (not sure of their results timeline but the interview was just on Thursday) but have heard nothing from UCLA VCU or UT Austin so sadly assuming those are probably Nos at this point.

    I also applied ot UCLA and VCU sculpture but have heard nothing .... maybe they're just taking their time?? fingers crossed for both of us!

    Hey there! Just thought I'd send an update in case it's helpful for anyone else (I know I like seeing everyone report in!). I interviewed with Alfred (sculpture) on Tuesday, they were pretty formal, as in having a set number of specific questions instead of asking me to discuss anything in my portfolio. I also got an interview invite from SUNY Purchase for next week. I still have heard nothing from other sculpture programs which doesn't seem like a good omen at this point but it's not over till it's over.......I'm still waiting on UT Austin, UCLA, and VCU.

    Does anyone have advice on the types of questions to ask of the interviewers? I've heard you should be prepared with a few thoughtful/intellegent questions for them but I'm not really sure what to ask. My first interview is tomorrow (gulp) so any advice would be helpful!

    Woohoo! I just got my first interview request from Alfred (Sculpture). Still waiting to hear anything from VCU, SUNY Purchase, UCLA and UT Austin.....

    I hope they respond! I'm also waiting on them and hoping that the deadline extension won't effect the timeline. They did mention in that extension email that if you still got your applicatoin in before the 15th you would be revieiwed first. Please report back if you hear anything!

    Thanks so much! It's interesting to hear that. I like the idea of visiting artists being part of the mix though I'd still want to feel the faculty were involved and that I had a relationship with them.... things to consder!

    Hi All! Wondering if anyone has looked into SUNY Purchase. It's on my "maybe" list for the sculpture program as I hear they have pretty decent faciliites and the proxiity to NYC but I don't see lots of info about it.
