  1. Good Morning, I'm hoping everyone will have their admissions soon! I was accepted into UWindsor advanced standing MSWwp, September start. Have you found a facebook group for this cohort?
  2. Mine hasn't changed, I still see the list of documents submitted. 😟 Also, I received an email from UCalgary and was declined...has anyone applied or is considering still applying to UWindsor's online synchronous MSW for Working Professionals? The deadline is March 15th, 2023.
  3. Thank you for sharing Dana! I am in Ontario and applied for the advanced standing, online MSW. Sorry, I got it wrong earlier when I said that it was 20 months, my notes actually said 24 months. However, I appreciate that you have explained how practicum needs to align with classes and that it will actually take 3 years to complete. The distance program required several residencies in Calgary as well. I imagine that is the same for Calgary or Edmonton?
  4. Congratulations Samantha123!! Dana, I have also applied to Calgary for the Distance Education, Clinical Social Work specialization, and my understanding is this MSW program is expected to be completed in 20 months. I heard offers for Calgary's online program would be shared in February and now that you are all receiving them I am realizing how close the decision time is! Did those accepted to Calgary receive an email or see a change in their application status on UCalgary's portal? Are there folks that have applied to Laurier for the advanced standing, in-person program? Good luck to all who are waiting!!
  5. I have not had any response and was thinking perhaps I submitted to LORIS incorrectly also. I'm wondering is anyone receiving actual mail to indicate their admittance into programs, or are all schools emailing?
  6. Hi! I'm still waiting for a response from Laurier as well. I applied to the in-person, MSW, Indigenous Field of Study program. I haven't tried logging into LORIS today, but the last time I did it showed all my submitted documents with the "no further action required" statement. (or something similar to that ) This has been the status since I submitted back in January. I have been starting to doubt whether I actually submitted everything since I haven't heard anything yet. This forum has been really encouraging to read about everyone's experiences. Thanks to everyone for being so candid about the process! ?
  7. Hi all! I'm new to the forum, and appreciate the opportunity to hear others' experiences with the application process. I have just submitted my application to WLU for the IFS and don't expect to hear until March-April. My question for anyone that may have info is regarding the Ontario Graduate Scholarship. Does anyone have experience writing an application that is not research/thesis based? I'm wondering what information the OGS assessors are most keen to learn about. Thanks! And good luck to all!
