Just had my interview with UNC. Big tip for anyone interviewing in different time zones: REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE DIFFERENT TIME ZONES! I ended up getting a text from them 7 minutes into when my interview was scheduled. Despite the massive mix-up with time, I think my interview went pretty well. They asked these questions: Why are you applying to Grad School? Why are you applying to UNC specifically? What is your greatest strength and weakness as an applicant? What motivates your Art? What is your self-driven practice like? How do you handle interpersonal and collaborative relationships? Because I missed 7 minutes of the interview, there was not much time at the end for me to ask questions, but I was able to ask "How would you describe the relationship between faculty and students? Is it more instructive, collaborative, or like a mentorship?" another question that I plan to ask is "What do you value the most about your involvement in this program?" I think engaging interviewers on a personal level is a cool route to take if you're into that sort of thing!

I got emails from UNC Chapel Hill and UT Austin yesterday asking for interviews this Friday! Excited and nervous! AHHHHHHHH! I'll keep you all updated on what it's like.

I applied to Northwestern SAIC UT Austin UNC Chapel Hill I read @recyclable's advice to look at the squarespace analytics and you bet I'm going to be checking these constantly now .
