Based on previous forums it seems like Hunter sends interview requests between February 9th and 17th or so, so shouldn't be too much longer!!

Yeah the 3 years was a draw for me, it takes time to let ideas grow and evolve. I somewhat regretting only applying to 1 school but it'll either happen or not, but I don't know how to stay calm while waiting!

Oh wow cool! On the Hunter MFA website you can browse the current students and filter to show the people in the sculpture concentration, just took another look and there's actually a pretty vast range of the kind of work people are making. I really like the idea of it being a fairly self driven program, I'm used to working on my own but am just craving the community of artists to bounce ideas off of. Should only be another week or two before we hear about interviews based on past forums! I wouldn't worry too much about the essay, if the work intrigues the committee they'll want to talk to you! How important do you people think the vibe of a program is? Are some schools more open to different styles and some schools more stuck in a certain type of work?

I did! It's the only school I applied to so I've just been over here freaking out waiting for time to move faster, I applied for sculpture and am a little worried because the sculpture I see coming out of Hunter feels a lot more minimalistic than mine so I hope they aren't too set on one particular style.

Their website says early March but looking back on past forums it seems like people got interviews earlier than that so hopefully only a couple more weeks!

Anyone else apply to Hunter this year? It's the only school I applied to and I'm going crazy waiting, seems like their interview requests come out in mid February and decisions in mid March but I don't know how I'm gonna wait any longer!
