never heard of any of them, the famous Canadian universities in CS are U of Toronto, McGill, UBC and U of Waterloo.

go to UIUC, big names matter when you're trying to get a job at the end.

anyone here looking for roommates? I am starting next fall at UBC and would like to room with someone since living alone is ridiculously expensive off- and on-campus.

Anyone heard from that program?

Congrats, I think UBC has a stronger CS department, and the weather is MUCH better in Vancouver. I saw some ranking of the CS departments in Canada and I think the only university that beats UBC, when it comes to research, is U of Toronto.

CountZero, Yes, it falls under the CoC, specifically the School of Interactive Computing. If any of your friends did apply to the HCC program and heard from them, please let us know.

You know that drum roll before announcing the winner of the Oscar, that's what waiting for grad school decisions feels like. Except, you hear that drum roll for months it's very painful!!

this could be a good sign or just a coincidence, but since I am looking for anything positive, I am gonna take it as a good sign.
