accepts or rejects? I have seen a couple of CE/EE applicants on the results page, but I am interested in CS decisions, do these two schools usually send their decisions that late??

I think what csApplicant is trying to say, you should decide where you want to go as soon as you can so that you open spaces for him jk. Seriously though, out of the 7 schools I am applying to, I know my top three choices, so if I got into two out of my top three, I am definitely turning down the bottom four right away. There is no point of wasting everyone's time.

I am in the EXACT same situation, also CS, applied to 7 and tried to perfect 2-3. Which schools did you apply to?

The list is quite random, there is a limit of 10 options, so I picked the six schools I am applying to + my alma mater + 2 from the top 10 programs.

Yes, hopefully that's the case, may be because they are getting more applicants this year (with the recession and all), admitting in rounds would make sense.

I think there is a misunderstanding here, may be the CS program acceptances are out but not the Robotics, LTI and COS.

I applied to CMU's Robotics Institute and COS PhD programs, has anyone heard from these two programs yet?

Of course no one should act on hating them. I even don't wish them harm. I just wish that they get into ALL the schools I am not applying to and NONE of the ones I am applying to.

why do the CS programs reply much later than other programs? shouldn't the CS departments utilize their knowledge of CS and make the computers work for them to finish this faster, hehe.

hehe, I am hoping to focus on HCI as well, have you been looking at potential advisors? I agree with you on waterloo, I wanted to apply there because the school is really good, but the weather turned me off.

MaximKat and Vidman, could you please share your stats with us? akwok, are you applying to american schools + only UBC in Canada? that's what I am doing, 6 PhD programs in the US + UBC M.S.
