  1. I really appreciate your positive enthusiasm.. I have to wait till April's first week for the final decision.
  2. Yes they do accept one person in sculpture and 6 in MFA Thank you for the wishes. I hope it work out in the end.
  3. Hey! It's MFA sculpture at the University of Notre Dame. I really liked their research based studio practice, small size and location too. I prefer peaceful sites.
  4. Hey everyone! Does anyone have something to say about MFA Sculpture program at University of Notre Dame? Any views?
  5. i have interview at Hunter this Saturday.
  6. Hey thank you for giving some hope. The University faculty, where I wanted to do my MFA, really liked my work and I just messed up big time during interview and I think it was a reason I got into waitlisting. It's a three years fully funded MFA program, mostly research based, which I really liked. Now I am so heart broken that I do not have courage to give interview at Hunter this Saturday.
  7. Hey everyone! Could anyone tell me if someone is on the waitlist of the university then does they have a shot? or is it a soft rejection?
  8. Hey I just had an interview with Notre Dame MFA department. They really liked my work but I guess I could have done a better job at the interview as I got quite overwhelmed and messed up a bit. They said they'll get back most probably on Monday. Im not sure, the University emailed me for the interview and wrote "Congratulations on your selection as a finalist from such a diverse and talented pool of applicants, we look forward to speaking with you." Now they said after the interview that they'll get back to me if I got selected as they are still narrowing down the candidates. Did they change their mind after my interview? ;(
  9. Wow! that's cool actually. Although, I am an international applicant and it would be different for me regarding tuition waiver and stuff. May be that is why they keep small class size.
  10. Yeah mine is today. Let's see. I hope you get in and it works out for you.
  11. That's exactly what I thought. But, I really like their Graduate Studio facilities. However, it's super expensive like insane $$$
  12. Hey thank you for telling all this stuff, it's really helpful. Could you be comfortable telling about the interview results? Did you hear back from them?
  13. Thank you. Oh wow! that's quite competitive, I didn't know that. It means I should keep my hopes low What are your thoughts about their MFA program work quality?
  14. He everyone! I got an interview with University of Notre Dame MFA Sculpture on Friday. Just received an email.
  15. I hope you hear back from RISD. I also applied for MFA Sculpture at RISD but sadly I didn't hear anything from them not an interview or even rejection. I guess they send acceptances by the first week of March.
  16. Hey everyone! I just received email for interview from Hunter !!!! Over the moon! especially after a rejection from Rutgers, it was a relief. Interview is scheduled on March 5th. Still waiting to hear from RISD, may be it's a rejection.
  17. Hey thank you. Though I would not start my MFA in 2022, because of the financial reasons. But I was hoping to get an acceptance from RISD or Hunter so I could write their names in my Fulbright application as the universities of preferences. I guess better luck next year.
  18. Did any International applicant get an interview call from RISD or Hunter?
  19. Congratulations on all the interviews and I hope you end up at a place where you want to be. I am an international applicant. I did not apply to Yale, Columbia and UPenn thinking that these are all top notch schools and I might never get an acceptance here. lol Could you please advice me about MIT Art Culture and technology program? Also the MFA program at Columbia say Visual Arts+ Sound Art, does that mean that applicant's work should include something related to sound and stuff? I am sure your work must. be cool that you end up getting all the interviews at all these amazing places.
  20. hey! Congratulations for the interview. I had an interview at RISD in 2018 and I was going through my old emails and I had an interview with them on March 3rd. Unfortunately, I did not hear back from them till now. I applied for MFA Sculpture. Quite disappointed tbh. I was expecting at least an interview call lol.
  21. HEY! Hope you are all doing well. Did anyone apply for MIT Art, culture and technology program? I am a bit curious about that program but couldn't find the exact things they would look for in an application? I have a multidisciplinary art practice and not sure how that would fit in? Could anyone share their experience or knowledge about that program?
  22. Congratulations. Good luck. Hope it goes well. I am still waiting hear back from RISD MFA Sculpture program.
  23. Hey everyone! I just got an interview call from Penn State University for MFA Sculpture.
  24. Thanks! I also found it interesting that its three years studio based program. You can really explore different dimensions during those years. I also heard that the student strength there is quite low because many students left the program due to Pandemic. As far as I know there are only 4 students in second year graduate program. Let's see. I think vibe is really important. Someone once told me that graduate schools look for the right "fit". It doesn't necessarily means that if your work is amazing you'd get an offer, the work should fit in the school program. It more like dating your work kind of thing lol
  25. I also applied in MFA Sculpture at Hunter. wow! I hope we get a good news soon. But I am not that hopeful for myself tbh. I know my portfolio is pretty promising but my statement was a mess. I could have done better. Where did you see their work? Instagram? I heard their MFA is really cool, a bit more self driven and yet intensive.
