    I got into 3 programs right out of undergrad. Most people in my cohort are 2-3 years out of undergrad. As far as I know from experience and anecdotal sources, schools look at the work first. If you pass that then they start to consider other details.

    I declined umich and washu today and accepted a spot in Iowa’s printmaking program. Here’s hoping people from this forum get those waitlist spots!!

    My options are currently Washington University in St. Louis or University of Michigan Ann Arbor. It’s so hard to decide. Anyone go to these schools or know anyone that does?

    UCONN is killing my right now. I sent an email last week and a fellow applicant sent one two weeks ago. Neither of us have heard back. Are they just not taking a cohort this year?

    They didn’t interview me for printmaking, so I assume rejection, but still no official word.

    Congrats!! Did you get an official letter? I was also accepted by phone today and told that the award package info will arrive by letter very soon.

    Just got a call from WashU (st. Louis) telling me I’ve been accepted and to expect an official award letter. I’m pretty sure I’m going to University of Michigan but I just wanted to let people know if anyone was waiting to hear from that school. Anyone heard from UCONN?

    Holy shit… I just got into Stamps (UofMich Ann Arbor.) Full ride. I am SO PUMPED.

    YES. I’m lucky (I guess) to be working on my bfa thesis show. But even still, I’m desperate for news and trying not to get too attached to the idea of one place being my next home. Cannot wait to just know already, even if it’s a no from everywhere.

    I just got waitlisted for U Iowa print. This is my first round of applying. What do you think the chances of getting off the waitlist are?

    I just finished my interview with the entire Printmaking department at Iowa. I think it went well, but the interview was so short. They didn’t really ask me about my work. They just wanted to know why grad school, why Iowa, and answer any questions I had. Apparently I’ll know if I got in by early next week. Whew.

    Just got an email from Sam Fox / WashU saying that they are working on reviewing applications and that they will let us know our admission status in “early March.” At least it’s not a rejection but my god the waiting.

    I just got an interview for University of Iowa printmaking for this Wednesday. Sweet relief!

    I am. Spent my entire winter break on applications and now I’m working on my thesis/show while biting all my nails off waiting. It made the most sense for me as well. Plus I am in my 30’s and had a practice before I went back for the bfa, so I though they might not frown so much at me personally. So yeah, same boat. I am struggling pretty hard to stay focused tbh. How are you?

    That’s amazing! I also applied to Iowa. Hoping for good news for us both. NW rejected me and I didn’t get an interview with UW or Tyler — I need a freaking win.
