Just got told I'd be extended an offer from the University of Virginia after 2.5 months on the waitlist. I am thrilled as I had not been accepted to any PhD programs and was ready to shell out for one of the two masters' programs I had been accepted to. This process has been beyond stressful, so I am sending love and strength to anyone else still holding out in these last few days. All the best, I'm out.

If you have yet to hear from Northwestern, email the Director of Graduate Studies. According to him, they sent me a rejection and have confirmation of it sending, but I never received a letter and my application portal has not updated. I let him know that there may be others who are in a similar situation.

I emailed the director of graduate studies today asking for an adjusted timeline. They've never responded to me before, but hopefully the tardiness will make them feel inclined to respond.

"Decisions will be complete by February 2022," according to Northwestern. I am pressing X to doubt.

Northwestern's website FAQ states that all decisions will be released "by February" so...Monday hopefully? Anyone have any insider knowledge to share?

Any news from Northwestern? I'm assuming a rejection but it seems like they are already weeks behind when they started rejecting folks last year.

I emailed Northwestern on Monday at 10 a.m. and have yet to receive a response. The email address on their website to ask questions does not actually exist (it'll bounce any emails you send), so I sent one to the department. It's really crappy of them.

Why is everyone so firm on Northwestern being done with acceptances? Only 4 have been posted this year and they normally don't send out all at the same time. Has anyone heard something I haven't? I'm an NU undergrad for context.

I'm a Northwestern undergrad, we have heard absolutely nothing from the department. Last year rejections weren't sent out until the last week of February, so I'm keeping my expectations low.

Last year it appears they did both acceptances and rejections in two batches based on when results came in: Feb 1 and Feb 8-10. So perhaps there may be some more?

For any UVA admits, what was the deadline given to make a decision on the offer? I was waitlisted and it's my only non-rejection so far, and I'm wondering if I'll be able to afford waiting to hear back or if I need to look at getting a job.
