To my knowledge, I don't think you can. In the acceptance letters that I've received they state there are no deferrals, and instead you would need to reapply in the next year and do the whole application again. However, it may differ depending on which school you apply to.
Just wanted to let people know that I originally accepted my U of L offer but recently declined it. I got off the waitlist for my number one choice! So, there should be a spot that opened for U ofL.
I'm currently waitlisted for U of C's School and Applied Child Psych program. Is there anyone that got an offer and is going to decline or has declined already.
I need to sign a housing contract for another program I got accepted into so I really need to know whether or not I have a chance of getting off of the waitlist!

I had the same problem so I waited one week before my deadline for U of L and accepted because I didn't want to lose my spot. However, if I get into my waitlisted spot I will email them to let them know I have to reject the offer.
@optimisticfutureinpsyc This was for the MSc specializing in School and Applied Child Psychology for U of C. But maybe acceptance letter will be going out after??
Results for U of L admissions went out this morning I believe. Congrats to those that got in!
If anyone did get offered admission and is planning on accepting let me know! It would be nice to know someone whose in the program as well!
