hiii-- i got an interview with Stadelschule two years ago and it wasn't until the summer. I thought it was a rejection since I never heard from them, then got an email to complete a very obscure task, and then after this task was completed then I got an interview, around end of June/ early July. Hope this helps!

I was able to stay for the first semester because as a US citizen you don't need a Visa to enter to country-- you just need the 'proof of livelihood' aka 11000 euro or 12,000usd to get a residency permit within Germany, which you need to stay and study. Once the money ran out I had to leave, so I didn't finish even a year. Good luck!

i saw that someone last week got a columbia painting interview, has anyone else? I'm really really hoping there might be more interviews released but... it's not looking good, as badly as I want it 😕

i talked to someone in Bard's MFA admissions and they said interviews (at least for painting) will be out before the 20th.

i was a full time student, and I really liked the freedom and the studio space, but unfortunately i could not afford it. I couldn't get the money required to get a residence permit in Germany, and the Stadelschule doesn't offer any of its own scholarships. I applied for DAAD but you have to apply before you actually get accepted to be eligible for funding. I would definitely make sure your funding was well in place before you considered going!

i don't think this is true-- I have been rejected twice and it still says MFA on my past rejections

got rejected from Yale Painting-- I'm currently at the Stadelschule doing a semester and I had really high hopes I'd be able to get it but, so is life. Does anyone know off hand when the Columbia painting interviews went out last year/ have historically gone out? I'm waiting on them and Bard.
