  1. Hey! Thanks for your reply. I understand that stress for sure and have been dealing with quite a bit of anxiety lately. Yes, CSULA emailed my personal email with an acceptance. I've only had an interview with CSUN. I'm waiting to hear back from CSULB, Fullerton, and CSUDH. Nothing from them. I have heard and recently spoke with a current student at CSUDH who said they didn't find out last year they were admitted until like April or May so you've still got plenty of time to hear back. I think this month is only the beginning of schools really replying to applicants. That's good info about CSULA. Does CSUN have a more clinical focus? I think CSULB (from my understanding) offers a more clinical focus. Possibly also CSUF, not sure about Dominguez Hills. Do you know anyone who attended CSULA or CSUN? Have you searched for case management jobs ? I worked case management and found it to be great experience. Also, look at different city websites and see if they are hiring positions like senior center coordinator/director, or jobs at the county offices.
  2. Hi future MSW's! I was accepted into CSULA. I'd love some feedback on their program. Do you know anyone who attended, their thoughts? Reasons you applied or didn't apply to CSULA? I'm struggling! Thanks in advance!!
  3. Hang in there! It can take time to hear back but I have spoken to people currently in MSW programs who say they didn't receive their acceptance until April or even May so you've got time!!
  4. That's great! When you get a good feeling, you just know. Good luck to you!! Post your final decision when you get there! All the best!
  5. That is awesome! Sounds like a great interview experience. Do you mind sharing what were a couple of the top things that really sold you on CSUF?
  6. Congrats on the interview with CSUF!! I hear they're a good MSW program. Wow, sounds much easier than CSUN. And I love the smaller group size. My CSUN interview had 8 interviewees and I could see a smaller group fostering better connection with the interviewers. Who were the interviewers with CSUF?
  7. Yeah, I never thought I'd be able to learn remotely until Covid and then I saw it wasn't so bad. So much more convenient. Ugh, one of my recommenders took awhile also - it was giving me a heart attack! Thank you!! Have you heard anything about CSUSB's online MSW (through Pathway) program?
  8. We have similar things going on! I also applied to CSUF (haven't heard back yet though ) as well as like 6 others! So far only accepted to CSULA and CSUSB. BUt like you, I'm leaning towards the online d/t distance/having to relocate. When did you submit your application to CSUN?
  9. I applied to the 2 year online too!! I love their program structure (compared to some other online programs) and really enjoy some of their staff. Definitely cheaper than like USC.
  10. Anyone else have an interview with CSUN today (or this week)? Just finished mine and I'm sooo glad to have it over. I was surprised at how nervous I felt. I've already been accepted 2 other places but still felt like this interview would make or break my future lol!
  11. Same - I was trying to quickly get my thoughts together since we only have two min. I had 8 applicants also. Did you apply to CSUN's 2, 3 or online cohort?
  12. Mine was today at 9am. I did okay, I think, but I don't think I did great or amazing. There were things I wished I'd said in my personal question. I was pretty nervous!! How many ppl were in your group interview? And what program option are you?
