  1. Nah, even low on the subject (Humanities) -__- yeah, I agree with you on most parts. They are all the same after all and honestly, if I didn't have a better option I'd go for Erasmus for sure. But I'm thinking about 2 years from now when I want to apply for a PhD and I have to explain to every institution where the hell did I graduated from : )) Plus, one big disadvantage of Erasmus is that they never give you enough time to stay in one place, to explore it, live there, to make friends and truly settle. you are a journeyman for two years and don't have much time to build a life, or any connections. they throw 1K per month (which is hardly enough to live in a capital city like Lisbon or Brussel) and you are not allowed to work at all. They rarly give you any free time to pursue your own projects (for an art student) and constantly threaten you that if you don't act accordring to what they want, you are cut from the scholorship. In a way, they owe you for 1K per month. (at least in my programme) But what do I know... hope you guys (and gals) end up where you love the most.
  2. I have been offered a place with a full scholarship but I think I'll probably reject it since I have a better offer from a top rank university in Norway. unfortunately, most of these Erasmus universities aren't top-notch (based on their ranking) and that's a shame. hope someone else gets it.
  3. Hey everyone. I was accepted for MFA from Uni of Bergen. although I accepted my offer, still haven't received my official acceptance letter. I was wondering if anyone else applied for Bergen? what was the result?
  4. Huge congratulations. I'm at the same situation right now, waitnig for formal documents to apply for visa. Apperently It will be sent out some time in April.
  5. Congratulations! have you received your scholarship contract yet? wish you all the best.
  6. Well, from what I heard, they give 75% of their scholarships to partner candidates. So they have to move you back into the programme country list which have a lower chance and if you have a better ranking than the rest of programme country candidates, then they might have to remove someone to replace you in. or if you have a lower rank compare to your peer group, then they might move you to the waiting list. But this is just common sense. They might operate differently. I Hope you get in. The lesson to be learned here is: NEVER APPLY BEFORE A PROPER RESEARCH
  7. Dear nice people, does anyone know about the prestige and the quality of degree from Erasmus Mundus scholarship? I'm selected for the scholarship but when I looked at the ranking of universities, they weren't very good. I have offers from universities with a much better ranking. Do you guys think EM degree is prestigious despite the rank of those universities you attend at each term?
  8. I received my acceptance for full scholarship on first week of March. still waiting for EACEA to send me the official letter. has anyone received their official letter that you supposed to sign and take to embassy?
  9. To those who were on top 20 and got accepted: did anyone receive their official scholarship letter yet? I'm still waiting for EACEA to send me the official letter so I can go to the embassy and do the visa stuff - __- I heard it takes up to 2 months for them to issue the visa. this is nerve-racking. -______- Good luck everyone with their result! don't lose hope if you weren't accepted. there is always another year and you only going to get stronger!
  10. it's 20 to 25 for each programme every single year.
  11. I'm not sure about yours but in my programme, they first announced the result to those who were accepted, then, gave them a week to accept or reject and if anyone rejected, they would send the offer to a new person. so if you haven't heard anything in the allocated time, you might be on the waitlist. Or maybe it's just a delay for everyone. I hope you get accepted. good luck.
  12. Thank you so much! I hope so. my programme is fine art. Well, my programme is quite different from yours, but they asked me about my portfolio, my choices, why did I chose this specific path, what are my plans for my thesis, what are the exact areas of my interest, they wanted explanations for all aspects of my work in the past and every choice I made. Then some unrelated questions about what kind of books I read, etc. I don't know how many interviews you have done in the past but this one can be a bit apprehensive at first glance because you probably going to face a group of people from different universities, all of them presented in the zoom video call and each one is going to bring up a different subject and ask different questions. Some of these questions can be challenging but interviewers are all nice and super friendly. Best of luck
  13. Hey did anyone receive their unofficial placement for the scholarship? last week I received this email from the programme director that I was among the top 20 absolute ranking list. I had to give them a written confirmation that I accept the status of a scholarship holder and now they are going to consult with the scholarship provider. very nervous about this final consult thing I think you are wrong. UK is not a programme country anymore. read the full statement on Erasmus website: https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/the-uk-and-erasmus The UK is no longer an EU Member State. It has also opted not to take part as an associated third country in the new Erasmus+ programme 2021-27. The UK will therefore not be taking part in the new programme as a Programme Country. The European Commission regrets this decision by the United Kingdom.
