  1. Nothing on the Draft FB group yet. There should have been NYU movement in nonfiction, though - someone declined yesterday
  2. I'm so excited for the people this opens up spots for
  3. Accepted a CNF spot at NYU this week! And declined a spot at Columbia with a $35K scholarship - hopefully someone else can get access to that!
  4. You may be waitlisted if you haven't heard back yet. They did their acceptances a few weeks ago as well as rejections (which I got).
  5. lol agreed. i applied thinking maybe their funding packages couldn't be that bad...but they're terrible. i got a "good" offer of roughly half tuition which would still require at least $75K in loans. columbia is making $10-16 million every two years off of a cohort. that should be criminal. *this assumes a class size of 110, $150K in total tuition & fees, and that, at best, 25% of total cohort costs are funded. https://www.pw.org/content/columbia_university_school_arts
  6. NYU has done all their first round acceptances and it looks like the waitlist is out/done too. I'm not sure why they don't send out rejections at this point as well. Congrats on The New School and getting so much tuition covered!
  7. Congrats to you! I don't know a lot about all of the NY programs, but NYU fully funds some students with full tuition + stipends (those at the top of their admit list, it seems) and all students receive at least half tuition coverage. https://as.nyu.edu/cwp/graduate/fellowships-and-literary-outreach.html
  8. Congrats! Columbia started their first round of calls yesterday (no official letters). And NYU sent out letters to its first set of acceptances on the 2nd. I imagine Columbia acceptances will continue over the next week or longer, and that NYU will start announcing a waitlist soon. What genre are you applying in? Iowa's Nonfiction program seems to have sent out acceptances and rejections, but waitlisted people might be getting notified later.
