    Good luck to you, too! (And to everyone else in a similar situation!) Be kind to yourselves, eat something delicious, read something for pleasure, and zone out when necessary. Although I wasn't an early poster on this forum, I was a longtime lurker, and I'm really grateful to the supportive spirit of this community.

    It's really excruciating. Heard today from Indiana University that they completed their fiction cohort. I'm crossing my fingers for Michigan or Brooklyn College.

    Fingers certainly crossed! It's at the top of my list, but I'm not totally sure how much movement there'll be. We'll see how things go!

    Congrats to you on your waitlists! I'm waitlisted in fiction at four schools (one of which is also Michigan), and I feel your pain! I'm mostly trying to distract myself while gathering as much information about programs as possible. If I'm offered a spot (or have to decide very quickly between multiple offers), I'm hoping I'll have enough info to be able to do so.

    It's an insanely competitive process. I'm a first time applicant, too, and though I knew what the odds were going into it, the past few months have still sustained an impressive level of anxiety. What an achievement though, to earn a spot on Cornell's waitlist! And thank you! I'm crossing my fingers for you, too, and regardless of the outcome I hope you can view it as a validation of your writing.

    Just want to say that I feel you and understand the anguish! I'm accepted to one school with a funding offer I can't really consider and waitlisted at four. Trying to distract myself as much as possible. Hope you're able to stay sane!

    Sorry you haven't heard back! My understanding is that they notified everyone back in February via email. Perhaps check your spam folder or reach out to them if you can't find anything? Sorry I likely don't have better news, I know it's a rough thing.

    Thanks so much for sharing! I'm also in a waitlist purgatory, and my heart goes out to anyone else who is suffering a similar agony. Does anyone happen to know whether there's been any movement thus far for fiction spots at Michigan or Indiana?
