I kind of like the Star Wars spamming and what-not. I feel like it makes me remember not to take all of this too seriously. Of course I'm still freaking out more than I should, but it grounds me a little...

The bad part is when you know that your dream school is having interviews in about 2 weeks and you still haven't got an invite. I find myself crying at random times when I look at my calendar. I feel so pitiful these days!!! This application season can't come to an end soon enough!!!

I've had one interview at UIC so far, and I have another interview at WashU next week. Has anyone heard from JHU or Northwestern neuroscience yet? I wish this was over already; I'm so stressed all the time!

ooooo! I just read Brave New World not too long ago, and loved it!! It took me way to long to get around to it though. I just finished The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and I'm about to start Anna Karenina while also attempting to knit socks for my first time... really trying to kill time here haha!

I have a metal rod that spans the length of my spine. My posture is wonderful and everyone always thinks I'm attentive and interested (little do they know...). I always love big cats and brains... unique? meh, why not?

I applied to Northwestern NUIN, University of Chicago, Johns Hopkins, Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), and then for safeties I applied to UICs Graduate Education in Medical Science program along with Loyola University Chicago's neurobiology program (it's apparent I want to stay in the Chicago area, huh? haha!). I'm interested in studying the development of the brain and what goes wrong for neurodevelopmental disorders as well as understanding plasticity in the brain in general (too interesting!). As of right now I'm just praying that someone out there wants me next year!! haha.

For my applications, the deadlines for neuroscience were around Dec. 1st - Dec. 7th.
