  1. Following cuz I wanna know too, even tho for a different program:) Im curious about what their post-interview acceptance rate looks like esp for in-person interviews.
  2. Has anyone interviewed at Berkeley/done in-person interviews at any university? Do you mind sharing your experience? Was the interview more conversational or do they actively try to grill your research experience? Bit anxious ngl
  3. Congrats and thank you so much for the helpful tips! Hope it all goes well for you:)
  4. I got an interview invite from Berkeley IDI PhD two weeks ago, I was wondering what's the post-interview acceptance rate gonna look like? It's an incredibly small program I'm not sure if a lot of people have heard about it. It's an in-person interview with costs reimbursed and seems like they have quite a lot of social events lined up for us to meet the faculty and current students.
  5. Undergrad Institution: Imperial College London Major(s): BSc Biomedical sciences Overall GPA: 1st class honours (expecting) Type of Student: Chinese female, international GRE Scores: Most, if not all, programs I apply to don't require GRE Research Experience: - 2 Compulsory lab projects (one of them on immunology) - 1 placement year in academia - At least 3 summer internships (One on infectious disease epidemiology, one on CRISPR, one on immunology in brain cancer) Publications/Posters: - 2 publications (1st author for one and not 1st author for the other one) Awards/Honors/Recognitions: / LoRs: My academic tutor at Imperial, another professor at Imperial who is a leading expert in the field, the RA who I will be working with in an immunology lab this summer Applying to Where: Infectious disease epidemiology/immunology graduate programs (not exactly sure about my choices yet) Harvard MIT U of Mich George Washington Georgetown John Hopkins Yale Cold Spring Harbor UW Madison Northwestern MD Anderson UPenn Duke Berkley UCSF UChicago Princeton Mayo Clinic University of Cincinnati Purdue U Colorado (Med Campus Aurora CO) U of W (st louis) Brandeis Colorado State University of Pittsburg Am I too ambitious? It seems like everyone is applying with a masters.
  6. Hi guys, I am a 2nd year undergrad from Imperial College London and am planning to apply to Harvard's BPH for 2023 entry. I am expecting to graduate with a 1st class honours. I also expect to graduate with two completed compulsory lab projects, 3 summer internships, 1 dissertation, 2 papers published and 1 placement year (my third year). I saw a lot of candidates here being rejected even with a masters degree, I was wondering if it is worth applying if I am planning to apply right after ug? Don't know if I understood correctly, but it seems to me that as long as your grades are good enough, the AO is not going to care who has higher or lower GPA and they would only focus on your SOP and LORs? Another question, how do you write a good SOP? Do you get someone else to check your SOP for you?
