  1. Hey, Don't give up hope! I was on the Duke waitlist last year and got off it in mid-March, and I am now attending there.
  2. After a multitude of rejections, I received word that I was accepted off the waitlist for Duke and have accepted their offer! Super excited!!
  3. I assume if a school is on Spring Break, we shouldn't expect to hear anything. Right?
  4. For anyone waiting on UMass-I sent an email to inquire about a possible decision timeline and found out I was rejected. I'm assuming those who were accepted were already notified. I asked if I could be considered for the MA program, which will have decisions go out by the end of the week. Edit: I just found out they won't be offering funding to their MA students and have withdrawn my app.
  5. I’m waiting on UMass as well!
  6. It's still early. I'd say wait and see if you get off the waitlist before making any decisions. Personally, I'd go with the for sure since who knows what could happen in the next application cycle. On the other hand, if you're doing something in the next couple of months that will help your application, then I guess you can reapply and see what happens.
  7. Out of curiosity, has anyone heard anything from Umass Amherst? I saw a rejection posted last week, but that's all I've seen during this cycle.
  8. For those waiting on Rutgers, check the portal. Disappointed to have been rejected since I really liked my PI but figured it was coming.
  9. If any of the Rutgers Waitlist people are here, do you mind sharing how you were notified and your field? Trying to figure out if I should prepare for the rejection.
  10. Did you apply to the Rutgers History Phd? I haven’t seen any rejections go out. I’m still waiting to hear back from them.
  11. I e-mailed mine and responded to the e-mail from DGS. Idk if it will make any difference but I thought it wise to thank them and continue to emphasize my interest in the program.
  12. Congratulations! If you are comfortable financially with a lower stipend vs cost of living, then I would go with School #2. You want a program with a good track history going in. I've been the guinea pig for programs before and its rough.
  13. I’m in the same boat with Rutgers. Panicking over not hearing from Rutgers and Northwestern yet. Hopefully this isn’t the end for us.
  14. Fingers crossed you get off the waitlist! You deserve a win!!
  15. Congrats! I guess that means a rejection for me
  16. If the Northwestern acceptance is in here, can you please share your field and how you found out?
  17. Welcome to the party! I am also waiting on Rutgers and stressing out about it
  18. Still waiting, and losing my mind over it!
  19. I'm so sorry! Fingers crossed for the medieval studies one!
  20. Insert Cap "I understood that reference" meme. It's the Buster one from Arthur, right?
  21. I didn't apply, but I saw one acceptance posted. No idea if its legit or not.
  22. It doesn't look like they've sent out acceptances so you might still be in the running! My portal said status update with a link to view decision under application proof.
  23. Woke up to find out I was waitlisted at Duke. Shocked to even have been considered! What do I do now? Do I reach out to inquire my spot on the waitlist to PI or admissions? I already confirmed that I wanted to remain on it.
  24. Click on your profile name, then account settings, and then signature. Also, people who received the interview from Northwestern, what's your subfield?
  25. I think it's still too early since some of the schools don't even start their semester until tomorrow. Also, there's only been a handful of interview results posted on here and Reddit. I feel that starting the last week of January is when we'll start to see more interviews, and possibly acceptances sent out. At least, I'm hoping that's the case; however, that has not stopped me from worrying about it. If others know differently, feel free to correct me!
