    I emailed UT Austin to find I was not on the initial interview list. Not sure if that is a rejection or not, but that is one way to find out ?

    I know I am waiting on Virginia Tech, Indiana University, Boston University (all Neuroscience) and then University of SC SOM (Biological Sciences PhD Program). These programs typically come out sometime in mid-january.

    Was it for Neuro? They said something about preliminarys before interviews. I am curious as to how that looks.

    I didnt apply, but I have seen a lot of applicants having to check their UCSD portal.

    I am anxiously waiting as well!!! I have a friend of a friend who knows someone on the committee… list is made but not released. 300 applications for 6 spots. god bless us. They are doing a preliminary before interviews.

    I know Boston U has an anatomy and neuro program with a 01/01 deadline and upstate medical uni in NY has a 01/15 deadline. I am gonna look more soon as I am worried too, but most of my interview invites come in January? My only rejection so far is UT Austin... I find out from Vanderbilt today/tomorrow.

    Don't lose hope! You still have until January for some schools. If you are really that worried, some schools still have open programs with 01/01 or 01/15 deadlines!!

    According to Reddit, all Harvard PiN invites have been sent out. You will hear back with a rejection in March.

    Hey everyone! I did deep digging on last years forum and most Ivy’s (Harvard, MiT(ik lol), Brown, Yale, Dartmouth, Cornell, Columbia) and top-tier schools (Uni of California’s, Northwestern, Uchicago, UTexas, Duke, Vanderbilt etc.) will have sent out first rounds BEFORE the holidays (I would say Dec 22, 2022). I did see some 2nd round interviews posted in the forums…. Boston Uni, Indiana, and most state schools will come in January. Be patient! Also, CHECK. YOUR. JUNK. FOLDERS.

    Degree- M.S. in Neuroscience at SUNY Buff (in progress), B.S. in Psych w/ 3 minors in Cog. Neuro, Biomed Eng. & Biology GPA: 3.7 Graduate, 3.1 undergraduate Research- Current research into cardiovascular risk factors of Multiple Sclerosis disability. Mining data as well as administering and creating neuropsychological testing. additional research into patient-reported outcomes in MS and progression independent relapse activity in MS. 2 years undergraduate in Auditory and Attention lab using EEG and MATLAB. semester abroad in Ireland studying Autism and Fragile X. Publications- 6 total - 2 first author (1 in review for journal, 1 in draft; both in MS/Neuroimaging), 2 in multiple sclerosis with top-ranking authorship, 2 in autism with low-ranking authorship. GRE- Not required for any programs Teaching- Current TA for Quantitative Neuroanatomy, also volunteer to teach at Brain Bee in local schools. Awards- 3 travel grants (one from conference, one from GSA, one from department), multiple undergrad dean's list, volunteer & community service awards LORs- 1 from Boss/PI/thesis advisor (co-employed in lab), 1 from clinical director/co-thesis advisor, 1 from additional advisor in laboratory/boss. Misc.- current graduate student representative for neuroscience department. skipped grades so young applicant (22 w/ masters). attended European conference for MS and attending American conference for MS. Will be attempting to publish once more before graduation (expected june 2023). Schools: Vanderbilt, Boston Uni, UT Austin, Virginia Tech, Indiana University, & Uni of South Carolina all Neuroscience PhD Would anyone be interested in starting a discord chat to support each other?
