  1. My Congratulations to you and other applicants who got admission from Berkeley I didn't apply for Berkeley but out of curiosity, did you get your Master degree from American University or outside? My professor at my home university had told me that it's generally difficult to get admission from Berkeley for applicants applying from non-American universities. That's why I've wanted to ask.
  2. Anyone received email from Northwestern today? Hope that we would hear good news from Northwestern.
  3. Same for me. I also applied for Cornell Phd Program.
  4. Same as well. I didn't get any email from Georgetown and began to assume rejection; if they only accept those who are shortlisted and get interview ?
  5. Last year as far as I remember, almost all rejections from Northwestern come around March 2nd. Hope that we would hear good news from Northwestern.
  6. One of my friends is currently doing his PhD at Northwestern and he told me that admission results from Northwestern can continue to arrive around mid and late February, based on his experience from last year.
  7. I also applied for Northwestern and My subfield was Comparative Politics but I didn't receive email yet from Northwestern. Did you receive any email from them?
  8. You are definitely right Even, Applyweb page can get ad revenue from refreshing application portal By the way, did you also apply for the PhD programs in Europe like LSE, SciencesPo?
  9. Hello everyone! For those who applied for Georgetown University PhD program, do you know around which dates can we hear the results? Also just out of curiousity, How detailed do the admission committees in the US Universities examine the submitted writing samples? Do they evaluate it page by page checking from the web about our subject or mostly focus on the Methodology? I thought that maybe this took too much time for them and that's why some Programs announce results lately.
  10. Congratulations and wish you Best of luck for your other applications Did you apply for Comparative Politics Tracking and at which University are you doing your Master degree?

  17. Around 600 applications? That's really too many applications. I began to lose my hopes for being admitted for Northwestern because I was actually a bit hopeful with Northwestern. Last year and other previous years; they tended to admit students from Turkish universities as well; so they have more or less knowledge about Turkish universities. Anyway, fingers crossed. Waiting for admission results is really stressful ?
  18. Hi there! I am on the same boat; didn't receive any update from University of Michigan or Northwestern University.
  19. Hi and thank you very much for your reply, it is nice to see other Turkish applicants at this forum I wish you Best of luck as well for your PhD applications.
  20. Many thanks for your reply Well, he wasn't happy with his Verbal score, it might be difficult for non-English applicants to get high from the GRE Verbal and that's why He didn't want to take risks because he would like to focus on qualitative heavy, less quant programs. By the way, at which university are you studying currently?
  21. Thank you very much; I hope both of us would receive emails for Notre Dame interviews. I tried to apply for as many programs as possible but I am worried about application process because there is also a possibility that all applied programs may not accept International applicants like me for fully funded scholarships. I have one more question: I submitted my GRE scores for my Phd applications but one of my friends who is from another university in Turkey (one of the best universities in Turkey like mine) preferred not to submit his GRE scores for the programs which kept it optional or not required. He thinks that his GRE Scores are not competitive; that's why he didnt want to hurt his chances. Do you think that not submitting GRE scores for the programs that kept it optional would make applicants more disadvantaged or less preferable?
  22. Duke sent emails for interview but you can wait for one week; hope that they can send it to you as well. I am also an applicant from Turkey (Koc University); are you studying at which university in Turkey?
