Hey @awmsw3338, I am not too familiar with Austin's program. I attended one of their info sessions Fall semester, and that was the extent of my search lol. However, I was accepted into the UNC-CH program and plan on attending. I was interested in the program initially because one of my co-workers attended (she graduated this semester). She has had a positive experience and from what I've learned, academic advisors can tailor your classes to the requirements you're trying to fulfill. If you haven't, I would recommend attending information sessions for the schools you're interested in. I would definitely look at the starting salaries for each state, col, etc. It's definitely a tough decision, but I am hoping you can decide what's best for you. ❤️

Hello everyone! So far I've received acceptances to UNC-CH, UCF, and UNF, and just waiting for USF. Really hope funding works out for UNC 😅. I was super close to applying to UCLA, but backed out last minute...kinda wish I hadn't lol, but since I did live in L.A. for a few years, the cost of tuition and hcol freaked me out a bit. I'm excited about my acceptances but now I'm stressed about securing a new job and apartment before school starts....sigh...

Congratulations on your acceptances thus far! $22k scholarship is awesome! I wish I had more information to give you. Also, I am new to using Grad Cafe, I'm not seeing any options to reply to a specific comment...is that normal? I would love to know the other schools everyone applied to. I submitted my applications earlier this month for: UNC-Chapel Hill (priority deadline), University of Central Florida (online), University of North Florida (priority deadline), and University of South Florida. I really would love to leave Florida, but that in-state tuition is hard to beat! I am considering Florida State University, but living in Tallahassee isn't appealing to me and their online program doesn't have a fixed rate if I were to move out of state. I'm considering applying to another online MSW program so if you have any respectable, affordable recommendations, I'd love to know!
