  1. Accepted: Stanford (ancient history track in classics), Berkeley (AHMA), Princeton (PAW in classics), Columbia (classical studies) Waitlisted: Penn (ancient history) Rejected: Yale (even though I did my MA in history here lmao), Harvard (I presume rejection because I haven't heard anything)
  2. Got an acceptance at Columbia Classical Studies!!
  3. Stanford has a second round of on-campus interviews coming up and Princeton will send out results in early March.
  4. I was waitlisted at Penn ancient history last week.
  5. Did you apply to classics or ancient history at Penn?
  6. I got an interview from Classical Studies, which is different from Classics
  7. I just finished my history MA at Yale, so I know the some of the professors involved. They have already contacted that applicant. I am sure that this is the only H/C applicant who will be admitted this year through the history department. However, both history and classics can admit people into the combined program. Perhaps the classics department will admit more H/C applicants this year—I am not sure, though if I had to guess I would say not. I do know classics department is behind the history department this year, so who really knows?
  8. For those who applied to the Yale history/classics combined degree, I have insider knowledge that they admitted only one applicant this year, so if you are not that applicant, then I am sorry to say it didn't work out for you (I too am sadly not that one applicant).
  9. I just found out that Stanford has a campus visit after the initial Zoom interview. Does anyone know what that entails? Is it a second round of interviews in person? How many applicants get campus visits, and how many of those are admitted? I didn't realize that was a thing. Btw I have gotten interviews so far for Berkeley AHMA, Penn Ancient History, Stanford Classics, and Princeton Classics.
