I have been accepted to the MSc Psychotherapy program at McMaster and have accepted my offer!

Good morning everyone -- I accepted my offer from OISE (MEd in Counselling Psychology) and submitted my decline of offer at McMaster (Psychotherapy). I wanted to share in case any of you are on the waitlist at Mac and waiting to hear back. This was a really hard decision as both programs are excellent. Both programs have equal pros and cons, but the location of OISE just works much better for me and my partner which was the deciding factor.

I've been on a little vacation for the last several days, but I wanted to share that I got into UofT's MEd Counselling and Psychotherapy program (as of March 24th). Happy to answer any questions if you message me! 

Just got my acceptance into the Laurier MA in Theology & Psychotherapy! This feels so surreal! Congrats to everyone who has been getting their acceptance emails! 

I got in as of March 24 to UofT OISE's med counselling program!!!

Hi everyone, I haven’t received an offer from uoft MEd Counselling Psych yet, but my status on Acorn just got changed!! So for those who also have heard back from uoft, maybe you can check Acorn as well :)

Hi everyone! I emailed OISE admissions asking about any updates for the MEd Counselling Psychology program and this is what they told me: 
Your application is currently under review by the department. Since you applied by the November 15th deadline, you should hear an admissions decision soon.
Fingers crossed for everyone expecting to hear back from OISE!! 

Maybe it'll be in waves? I was accepted.

I was offered admission to the Counselling Psych course based program at UOttawa yesterday. I actually applied to the MRP stream, got rejected, but they offered me course-based stream. I declined my offer to the course-based just now, so I hope that someone else gets an offer soon! Sending good wishes to you all

I received an email at 10:56 this morning from McMaster. I got in! This is so surreal. I've been working towards this dream for years. I received two rejections over the last two weeks and was starting to think that it may not be my year for grad school. Wishing anyone who hasn't received an email just yet the best of luck, and to hold on! 

Hi everyone, I had an interview with McMaster on Feb 8th and I got rejected today  It sucks a lot, but I know I did the best I could. I haven't heard from UOttawa or UofT yet. Congratulations to everyone who got in - you deserve this!!

i just checked my mcmaster portal and there was a status update. 
I got in the msc psychotherapy program! feels so unreal 

I got accepted by McMaster and rejected by Ottawa (MEd Counselling). My interview with McMaster was on Feb 9th. No email notifications were received, and I checked both online portals to find out the results. If anyone is interested in my stats, I am happy to share them.
I applied to graduate school three times in total - in 2019, 2020, and 2022. I understand how struggling and anxious we all are at this stage! When getting rejected for the second time, I was super discouraged and started to question myself. Looking back, I am glad I was able to pick myself up. Stay hopeful and believe in yourself even if it may take longer for your hard work to pay off ❤️

Same. Received rejection from UBC today. Was waitlisted last year! This was my 3rd attempt. I don't even know if this is worth it anymore. I am going to reconsider.

and yes, as someone else stated, they said mid to end of march, so Im expecting they start like March 15?? 

I have not heard back, but I believe they said they'd be sending out decisions mid-late March. Wishing you the best of luck! 🙂
