  1. Congrats! I had to look this up through the CCPA website and it looks like it's one of the recognized programs. https://www.ccpa-accp.ca/membership/students/graduate-programs/canadian-graduate-programs/
  2. Just got my acceptance into the Laurier MA in Theology & Psychotherapy! This feels so surreal! Congrats to everyone who has been getting their acceptance emails!
  3. Yes, I feel you! Honestly one of the only reasons I applied was because I felt like I had a shot at it after hearing this. I don't have a picture-perfect application and figured there was no way I was going to get accepted into the other super competitive programs. I think the fact that it's associated with Martin Luther University confuses people. I only found out about this program through the list of accepted programs on the CRPOs website.
  4. Ah! Now you got me even more excited! I didn't ask about that but from their informational session, they said they normally get around 100 applicants and they accept around 60ish.
  5. I spoke with the Student Advisor and Admission Coordinator, she says a decision has been made for all the students. They expect letters to come out at the end of this week or by latest end of next week. I am so impatient, I think I check my email and LORIS portal about 20 times a day! I just want to know what the response is so I can move on with and plan the next couple years of my life! I only applied to Laurier so I put all my eggs in one basket here. Wishing you good luck! Please let me know when you hear back
  6. Did you apply to MA Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Laurier? This is the only program I applied for and I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear back! Wish you good luck!
  7. Hi all, so happy that I found this forum! I'd like to ask a few questions to more seasoned users as I am still very new to this whole process. Background about me: I'm in my early 30s, have been working in finance and Government work since graduating with my BA in Economics. I have always dreamed of getting my MSW but due to many limiting factors in my life I never seriously considered it until now. My partner and I have been attending regular family therapy for 2.5 years and my therapist has changed my life for the better. I'm feeling ready for a new career change and feel that getting the training to become a therapist would be an idea fit for me. I am scared that due to my lack of related studies and experience I have a low chance of getting accepted to any programs. I'm just now seriously starting to consider and plan for this and when I read about some of the achievements related to this field that other applicants have, it makes me wonder if I am just wasting my time as I have too little of a chance. What other forums/resources do you all have to help me sort this all out? I know it's currently application season so I feel like I'm very late to the party in trying to organize all this. For additional context, at this time I am specifically looking at UofG Couple and Family Therapy (MSc) program and Lauriers MSW program. I live in Kitchener, ON and will be unable to relocate for graduate school.
