    I was accepted into UNBC’s Counselling MEd yesterday! Super excited, but now dreading deciding between UNBC and UNB (Fredericton). If anyone has any insights on either of the counselling programs offered by these schools, please let me know! Trying to collect all the info I can to make a pro and con list. Thanks!

    Rejected from SFU about an hour ago. Not shocked, considering I didn’t receive an email stating I was shortlisted. Keeping my fingers crossed for OISE, but also know I may not have a shot with them…

    Congrats on your acceptance and interview!! What time did you receive the email from Trina? I’m curious if invites are still rolling out Also- someone posted on Reddit that they phone the OISE admin office and they said they have no order of when they send out acceptances, waitlists, and rejections. Apparently they are rolling them all out and it could be another couple weeks to a couple months before we hear from them. In sum, if you have your dreams set on OISE, I wouldn’t count them out just yet.

    I am not a UofT student and I was able to set up an ACORN account. I somehow missed the email to set it up when it came through, but searched ACORN in my email and it came up. It also gave me my JoinID username which I believe I had to enable using the instructions. Hope this helps!

    SFU has a total of 12 seats between the MA and MEd program. There isn’t a designated number of seats for each program, but from what I’ve heard, the MEd typically has more acceptances than the MA. I emailed Trina this week about when we should hear back about interviews and she said they are well underway on the process of shortlisting, but we won’t hear back for another few weeks

    I was looking on Reddit, and two people said they received acceptances this morning for the MEd in Counselling Psychology at OISE (UofT). Has anyone else heard back from them? I was under the impression we wouldn’t hear back until late April/early May.

    For anyone wondering about SFU, I emailed Trina asking about when we should hear from them regarding interviews and this was her response: “I imagine we will be sending out notifications about short listed interviews in the next few weeks as the short listing process is well underway. These will likely be sent by email, with instructions for the mock-counselling video requirement.”

    Thank you for commenting! I should have been more specific- I was curious if anyone had heard from them regarding interviews. I attended their info-session and they said that they would send out invites for applicants to submit a mock counselling video around 7 weeks after the deadline, and from there, they would invite applicants to interview. Anyone been invited to submit their video or interview yet?

    Has anyone heard from SFU yet regarding the MA or MEd Counselling program? Also- does anyone have any information on the MEd counselling program at UNB (University of New Brunswick)? I was accepted, but haven’t been able to find any reviews on the program. Looking for any info on it!

    Just got accepted to UNB's MEd Counselling program (course-based). Found out via email. If anyone has any insight on this program, I would love to hear from you! I still have 3 other schools I am waiting to hear from, so I am holding out on accepting as of now.

    Hi there! Fellow OISE applicant here I’m curious how you are checking your portal. Are you using ACORN to check? I am not a UofT student, and am not super familiar with ACORN. Any help is appreciated! I am one who is also obsessed with checking the portals 😅

    Just got rejected from UofA course-based… also wishing they gave feedback. Fingers crossed for other schools!

    I applied! Still waiting to hear from them. I watched their info session and they said that they’ll email a shortlist of applicants to submit their mock counselling session videos around the beginning of March. From there, they’ll make another shortlist for interviews, and decisions should be made by end of March/beginning of April.

    Congrats on making the waitlist! I feel like we have to celebrate all wins when and where we can during this process. Would you be comfortable with sharing your stats? I also applied to UA and was curious what the stats from a person who has been waitlisted may look like. Still waiting to hear back from them…
