  1. I'm feeling the same way about the waitlist for the 2-year program at U of T. Has anyone heard anything?
  2. I just checked MyFile and saw I was admitted to the post-degree BSW program at York! I am beyond excited! 🥳
  3. I was a little confused by the wording of the e-mail. If we opt in, are we automatically put on the waitlist for the BSW program?
  4. For everyone waitlisted for York's 2-year MSW: Did you all get an e-mail last week asking whether or not you also want to be considered for their post-degree BSW?
  5. Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. It certainly means a lot to know others have been in similar positions and eventually saw their dreams come true. Congratulations on your acceptances and placement! Your story has further inspired me to keep on pushing. 😊
  6. Same! I applied to U of T and York this year and I've been waitlisted by both programs now. When I first heard back from U of T in March, I was pretty disappointed, but quickly got some perspective by reading the backgrounds and accomplishments of those who were accepted. Considering five years ago I had zero postsecondary education and this was my first year applying, making two waitlists feels like a big win. A well-deserved congratulations to those who have gotten their acceptances, and best of luck to everyone still waiting.
  7. I'm totally on high-alert too. Knowing U of T started to release acceptances this week last year has me refreshing my ACORN every hour now. 😄
  8. I believe universities only request official transcripts (i.e. those sent directly from a former university and paid for by the applicant) after granting a formal acceptance. From my understanding, all acceptances are conditional until the official transcript is produced. No e-mail or notification for me, but the date shown on the portal for my transcript is December 29th. When I first saw it, I assumed it just meant my application was being processed in some way.
  9. Big time. Everyone keeps asking when I'll hear back, and I keep replying with non-answers like: "Well, this is the last week that I probably won't hear anything, so..."
