  1. They sent a mass email this week with a reminder that the deposit and transcripts are due by June 1. So maybe they'll send out another batch of acceptances after that date?
  2. I believe the only other one is Windsor's working professionals program, which is 32 months synchronous online. You need to complete your practicums in Ontario though.
  3. I just heard back from U Windsor with acceptance to their working professionals program, non-BSW fall 2023 start. This was my 3rd time applying, the first time I got waitlisted and second I didn't get in/I applied late (in January) and they emailed that the program was full and then sent a rejection email. This time I submitted my application on the day it opened, Sept 6, and just waited for my referees to submit their references. The last one was sent Oct 20, and I heard back November 4th. I definitely think applying early for the MSWwp is the trick hah. I have about 10,000 hours of paid work experience. I worked in developmental services, case management, housing, and now community engagement. I've volunteered for about 4 years doing tenant organizing, and tried to speak to that and my political commitments in my statement. My BA was in cognitive science at U of T and my GPA was 3.3 (pretty sure I had multiple C's in there so, this was definitely my weak point). Oh I also didn't use an academic reference this time, I barely knew the prof and figured maybe he's weighing me down with a weak reference, so chose 3 strong professional references. Guess that was the right call. Good luck everyone with your applications!
  4. They only offer Jan start for the advanced program, unfortunately.
  5. Is that what happened? I received the full email then 3 hours later received a rejection email. I submitted end of January but assumed they had looked at my application but just chose others. My status never changed since Feb 3. Overall the rolling admissions system does not seem to be working for them, hah. I'm super disappointed because I was previously waitlisted, and I have a new job with a really strong reference so I thought my chances were higher. Think I'll give up on the online programs and think longer about when I'm able to leave work for 2 years.. the full-time programs seem easier to get in to
  6. Congrats on your acceptance! Do you mind sharing your stats and when you applied? I'm hitting the 4 month mark for my application..
  7. Congrats to you both!! That's beyond exciting. Do you and @AwaitingMSW1 mind sharing your stats?
  8. Anyone recently heard from Windsor's MSWwp? I applied non-BSW end of Jan, status changed Feb 3 so I'm at the 2 month mark..
  9. I submitted Jan 23, changed to in process on Feb 3. When I applied for the Jan start previously, it changed status immediately the next day and then I didn't hear back for over 3 months. They definitely aren't on track w "4-6 weeks"!
  10. I just submitted my application for the Sept non-BSW MSWwp program. I was waitlisted for the Jan 2022 start and have since started a new job, so hopefully that will help my chances? Last time they took almost 4 months to let me know I was waitlisted so hopefully it's faster this time too!
  11. I heard back this week from both Laurier (rejected, not surprised) and Windsor wp (waitlisted) for Jan 2022 start. Pretty disappointed but I just started a new position and it's in public sector so I'm happy to ride that out for a while haha. I had 9000 hours of experience, what I thought was a very strong personal statement (who knows though), and a 3.3 GPA in my last 2 years. I feel my GPA is my weak point but there's not much I can do about that.
  12. Ugh I'm so sorry to hear that! You sound like an ideal applicant. I'm not an expert at all but I've read through as many previous years of this forum as I could find lol and Laurer's online program for non-BSW applicants is definitely the most competitive program. I believe the average work exp is 10 years. In my opinion there's nothing you can do about GPA and hours (except possibly volunteer or join a board of directors if you have capacity) so I'd get as many people as possible to read your personal statement and take time to edit that. Good luck in your future applications! MSW's in Canada are super competitive so don't at all be discouraged.
  13. I applied to that one too! It's so competitive though I kind of wrote it off lol. Hopefully they're on schedule though and we hear back this month!
