    They sent me an email saying my application status had been updated, and then I could see the actual change to accepted in uoZone!

    Just received an offer to UOttawa's Counselling Psych MRP stream off of the waitlist. I declined it as I have accepted elsewhere... but maybe news coming for others who are currently waitlisted!

    I've already accepted another offer! Just thought I'd share the experience since the competition seemed especially harsh this year.

    Just found out I got an offered a SSHRC award from UOttawa, but didn't get accepted to the program. If anyone wants a good sense of how competitive these programs are!

    They have definitely sent out rejections! I was rejected like two weeks ago and I've seen others on this forum saying they were too. It could be a good sign that you haven't heard yet!

    I would look at the college your want to register with (likely the CRPO) and check how many client hours are needed to get your license. If the number is closer to 500, doing them through your school program with supervision and support included might be beneficial, compared to trying to find another internship with supervision after the fact. Just one thing to consider!

    I think looking at the CRPO (or wherever you wish to register) accepted programs is the best way to find programs. It is confusing though, when Luther also offers a very similar MDiv and some of the other accepted programs are actual seminaries. Good for us to have fewer applicants, though, haha!

    This is why I don't understand why more people don't apply to this program! It is so much less competitive to achieve the same end result of becoming an RP. I wonder if people are confused about the spiritual care aspect... or maybe they are just that uninterested in learning about religion and spirituality. I'm not a religious person at all myself, but it can't hurt to learn more about religion as a topic. I really enjoyed the RS classes I took in undergrad, as well. I applied to UOttawa for the MRP and thesis streams and was waitlisted and rejected, respectively. I am not too upset though because I was less interested in the education side of things and want to continue living in KW. I actually kind of felt relieved to not have to uproot my life here, haha!

    I heard end of this week from the registrar and I am SO impatient! Did you hear anything about how many applied or do you know how many spots there are? Good luck!!!

    Mine changed today... rejected from the thesis stream and waitlisted for the MRP stream. I think it is good for them to be taking longer to review your application, as it means that you did not get immediately rejected and are still in the running for a spot.

    I'm wondering if they haven't released any updates for the MA? I applied for the MRP and thesis streams and haven't heard anything. Did anyone who got rejected, accepted, or waitlisted apply for the reseach-based streams, or just coursework?

    Yeah! I think it is an additional 5-6 each for the MRP and Thesis programs.

    Yes! I am feeling so impatient seeing all the other schools start to send out updates, knowing it will probably be a long time until we hear. My Casper results only got sent over earlier this week! But, on the other hand, they did email me at the beginning of February before the deadline and said they were starting to review applications, so maybe it will be sooner than we think. Good luck to you, as well!

    I don't understand how we are supposed to accept an offer without knowing all of the places we got in. I am hoping to attend Laurier as my first choice, but their application was due in February and other schools were due in November, so I'm assuming that their decisions will come out much later. I don't want to turn down another school's offer waiting for Laurier, just to be rejected!
