Hi everybody,
I was accepted to the masters of biostatistics programs at University of Minnesota and University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and I am thrilled to have been accepted to both. The price of either will be about the same for me. I was wondering if anyone could comment on the program at University of Minnesota or the UNC Chapel Hill. I am more interested in the research that they do at the University of Minnesota, but I've heard UNC has a rigorous and top program (and it's warmer there). I plan to go straight to work after my MS, but a PhD is not off the table.
Has anyone gone through the Biostatistics MS at Minnesota that could comment on their experience? Did you enjoy the classes? Did you feel prepared for your career when you left? How much does the research the institution focuses on matter for me? Were you able to find a good mentor?
For UNC same questions but also, what's the culture like there?
I was also accepted to OHSU but it's unlikely I am going there at this point.
Thanks so much!
