    YouTube

We have a few new videos on YouTube this season: https://www.youtube.com/@The-GradCafe/videos Dr. Johns, who has been through this process several times with his two PhDs, shares advice on the application process. He talks about different application statuses (what does it mean to be "referred to department") and how to prepare for an interview once you're invited. He also talks about dealing with the results when you finally hear back. We're also releasing the transcripts on the blog: https://blog.thegradcafe.com/ If there are additional topics you'd like to see covered, please let us know!
  7. Here are the results: https://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/?per_page=20&q=creative+writing+MFA&institution=&program= And you can submit your own here: https://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/post.php
  8. We are rolling out more of the following badges. If you earn one, it means you've been especially helpful to the community. Helpful (for helping the community with answers and resources) Superstar (for being an especially active member of the community) Great Content (for earning the interest of other members) Verified (verified by the admins) Some of these are awarded automatically. Some are only given by the mods. Thanks for being part of The GradCafe!
  9. As long as you're transparent with your intentions, it doesn't seem like this would be a problem.
  10. Depends on the program, but letters of recommendation are submitted in an online portal by the person who writes the referral. Here's the process for Stanford Business: https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/programs/phd/admission/application-materials/recommendation-letters
  11. Seems like there are some recent IEOR grad admissions with similar qualifications (minus your LORs, which sound very solid). Might be worth looking into Berkeley and Cornell Tech.
  12. Agreed with cognpsy above. Here are the most recent WFU admissions results. Certainly seems competitive. Hard to say your chances, but a good recommendation letter could help you land an interview.
