  1. I did! I applied to the course based and thesis based SACP at UofC. I never got an interview invite for thesis based so I am assuming I’m rejected at this point
  2. I applied to UofA and UofC and haven’t heard anything yet Someone in another thread had mentioned they got on interview with UofC for MSc (thesis based) SACP a couple of weeks ago. I hope we hear something soon and that it goes well!!
  3. No, I’m not actively involved with any research labs unfortunately. I live in a remote rural area with no nearby universities or lab opportunities. Therefore was seeing if anyone knew of other services that were available just to clarify - I am applying to school psychology masters. I’ve been working in a school setting doing mental health programming with classrooms as well as small groups for the past year
  4. Hi there, I'm wondering if there are any mentee/mentorship programs or other good programs that offer assistance with grad school applications for someone who is not an undergrad and has been out of school for 2 years. Hoping for assistance with having my CV, letters of intent, research interests/proposal reviewed, as well as get other psychology grad program questions answered. I was looking at the CPA mentee/mentor program but it's only open to undergraduate students. I haven't had much luck finding programs/services in Canada that are available to people who have graduated and have been out of school for more than 1 year. I'm also willing to pay for the services Thanks!
  5. Hi there, I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with applying to and going to complete their masters abroad, somewhere in Europe or even the states? I am Canadian, completed my undergrad honours psych Bsc from UofA in 2021, and have worked a lot in the mental health field since then, both in nonprofit settings and within schools. I feel like I want a big change, I really enjoy travelling, and have recently started thinking about pursuing my masters abroad. I’m interested in clinical psychology (neuropsychology specialization) but also open to exploring the research and academia route as well. for anyone who might have insight into this: 1. what universities in Europe and the USA have well known psychology programs, and have a focus on international student presence? 2. Expenses - I know the states and the UK are going to be really expensive. Are there lots of opportunities for grants and scholarships for international students? 3. How hard is it to transfer these credentials when I’m back in Canada? I know I’ll have to do licensing and whatnot if I were to take the clinical psych route. I guess my question is is it worth it to study abroad, or is it going to create a ton of extra work when I get home? I’ve been trying to do a ton of research on this but I haven’t really found much. I’d love to hear from someone who’s had first hand experience with pursuing a masters abroad. Any additional info would be helpful too as I’m in the very early stages of considering/researching thank you so much!
