Hey everyone, just creating a forum for people who are going to Carleton MPPA this fall to talk/create a group chat!

Yeah I realized that when I started to read it closely. Not sure how i feel about the possibility of getting funding vs guranteed funding like other schools lol

Just got accepted into Queens MPA. Do they provide funding? Not sure if I got awarded anything or not.

Does anyone know when we will hear back for this program?

Congrats! Did you end up hearing back from Carleton?

I think they're still going to be handing out admissions though i've noticed that the amount of funding they give is progressively lower. So if you receive an acceptance, I wouldn't expect the funding to be much if at all. Goodluck!

Anyone hear back from Queens MPA? I thought they would start sending out offers this week.

Just received admission to Carleton MPPA and the data science specialization with 22k funding. No TA position.

Just received the official letter from UofT for some reason. Got awarded 3000 dollars.

Carleton MPPA status just updated to "Review in progress by Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs"

Just received admission (informal) to UofT MPP via Acorn. Waiting on Queens and Carleton.

Same for me too. I’ve heard some people getting an update to their status already so we might be able to hear back soon

Congrats!! I also got an email from Queens that they didn’t decide to stop admissions and that we should be hearing a response by March 1st so thats pretty awesome.

Hey! I'm in a similar position as you in terms of cGPA (i think... based on the conversion guide I found online) except I'm finishing up my undergrad at Uoft. I have a good amount of research experience and publications however I also didn't complete the micro and macro courses though I'm planning on completing it if I get in to the MPPA via Athabasca online sometime during the summer. Goodluck to you too! I hope we both get in!! Nervous as well

Congratulations on the Ottawa offer! I was thinking of applying but the french requirement really put me off.

My status is "recommended for assessment" for Carleton.

Apparently Queen's MPA could be suspended for the 2024 cohort because of some review process. Feels bad if this happens.
