I got my 3rd rejection notification yesterday. 1st was an email to check the website. 2nd was a short form letter in the mail. then yesterday got another email. Now I think they are just rubbing it in. Strange you guys havent heard anything, but that can hopefully be taken to mean you havent been rejected at this point.

Ok people, another acceptance went up in the results section yesterday. Nobody wants to claim either acceptance....really? Send me a PM Please, I dont bite

Talked to Miami. Still reviewing files and said it will prob. be another 2 weeks until decisions are emailed. Hmmmm

Update... received my hard copy form letter in mail yesterday. quick and to the point, maybe 3 or 4 sentences. You may want to call.

Congratulations! I think you've had to endure a longer wait than the rest of us, so your patience has paid off!

I was reading the results page and someone posted a rejection to Brown MCM program and in the comments section wrote "Their Loss" I just wanted to say that brought a smile to my face. While constantly feeling like we are getting beaten on by these schools with all of these rejections and waiting and lack of available funding, that comment reminds me that we need to stay positive and confident, we've all worked so hard to get to this point and each of us is deserving of the best, so yes, I agree it probably was "their loss!!!!!" good attitude.

Funny Umass website said they will notify via mail first for rejections. I thought that was kinda classy that they wanted to notify people w/ an acutal letter. But, I get an email to check the website and I log in to see my status changed to "denied." Not so classy. Kinda rude if you ask me. No letter, no explanation, nada. I spent the time and $ to apply. At least they could have spent the time on a form letter. Other schools give the old, "lots of apps and not enough money" or the "you were very qualified, but..." Sorry, that was too much to ask from these people.

I see a lot of questions on the board about funding offers. It seems people are trying to figure out what is a good offer and how it compares to others they might be waiting for or others that people have been offered. I figured it would be interesting to post funding info so everyone can compare and judge quality of packages. You dont have to post the schools name (but feel free if you want). Maybe just post "School A, 15k year stipend, Teaching Assistant, Full Medical, Tuition Waived, 3 years guaranteed" or something similar. Just a though...

Got rejection email from Brown today. No surprise there. Not even upset, I just felt like I wanted to take the shot at it b/c you never know. I'm sure crazier things have happened than someone getting accepted to a school where they thought they had no chance. Called University of Georgia and was told I am on a waitlist. Someone posted an Acceptance about 10 days ago and nobody claimed it. Is anyone out there to claim that now? Please PM me! They said there are 8 funded offers that went out. I have no idea where I am on the waitlist, but it would be nice to get an idea if there is a chance some people who got offers might not be accepting them. Hmmmm. More waiting

I've seen a few instances of single responses on the board. I called U Georgia last Tue and they said their committee met on Monday and they would notify soon. Then Wed someone posted that they called and were given a verbal accept over the phone. A week later I have heard nothing. So, all of this is craziness, I guess we all need to try and be patient but it is SOOO hard.

I'm still waiting too. I spoke w/ that person and it wasnt spam. I clicked on "applied" and the next page said rejections are sent by mail and not posted online until 21 days later so you learn by mail. Maybe they do accepts by email and reject by mail. So, I'm thinking its not looking good. But, you never know. No mail yet.

I am beginning to think no news = bad news. I have seen several people get answers from several of the programs I am waiting to hear from, but I have not heard anything. I can only assume people are getting emailed w/ admits and some programs must only notify rejects via postal service, so that makes me dread seeing the mailman come down the street. I would rather get a rejection via email and know sooner than know other people have gotten responses from a program and I have not heard anything. What's that movie where the kid starts his own university? "Accepted" and they go to South Harmon Institute of Technology (S.H.I.T). Maybe for those of us who dont get in, or dont get the funding we need we will just start our on school or we can go to S.H.I.T

I called UT-Austin RTF Department. In case anyone else is wondering they said they are finalizing their list and decisions will be sent via email "any day now"

Dont worry, I think every time we see any notification posted we all feel the same way. @ Commtome... ad for Umass, someone did get an acceptance notification. I checked on their site, and if you click "applied" it says they notify for rejections via postal mail and will not post those results online for 21 days so you can be notified by mail first. So, I'm taking this to mean that decisions have been made and I will probably receive a rejection letter soon. Trying to prepare myself for that. @ Gooner ... yes, wondering on status at Miami myself. I emailed an inquiry and never received a reply. Well, I also emailed Oregon and Penn State and never got replies from them either. Pretty rude. Its not that hard to hit reply and send back a form email or something at least to acknowledge they received the email. Also, you would think they prefer email to having us all call all the time, but no response to email will result in a phone call anyone w/ Texas results, did the decision show on your application page online where its says the materials have been submitted...did that change to say your status?

So, from what I can tell for active users here, we have 4 people who applied to Oregon. 1 not admitted, 2 have not gotten responses and an unknown person posted an acceptance in the results page and is not claiming it here. Hmmmm. I sent an email to grad admin almost 2 weeks ago and havent gotten a response. Wonder whats going on out there.

Thanks all. First one is a relief. Takes off a little pressure. Not much, but a little. At least it confirms all of my apps havent fallen off the face of the earth. Hopefully we will all be hearing lots of info from all of our schools in the near future. Then, we can figure out a way to get together for a virtual beer to celebrate, hmmmm
