Not funded; committee 5; last name K. Also, the result notice this year does not have ranking (where I placed) and significantly less applications funded compared to last year (47 v 71 for my committee). Disappointed—honestly don't see the point to apply again this year considering I worked really hard but somehow my ranking dropped significantly from year 1 to 2.

also, anyone in Toronto tired of being a nervous wreck, you're welcome to join the TMU students who have setup an encampment at the main campus. As someone said, more important things going on!

just out of interest, do you not have full funding at oxford already? how does the sshrc funding work in this context? will you get both?

fucking sick of this wait... but in solidarity I just made this account to report that my last name starts with K and I just received the "we will be releasing results" email 5 minutes ago. Copying text below: " Hello, The SSHRC Doctoral programs results for Competition Year 2024 will soon be made available. The results will be shared with applicants through the Extranet on April 30th and May 1st. Results are being released alphabetically by surname over two days (A-K on April 30th and L-Z on May 1st) to avoid technical issues. The three federal granting agencies (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC) welcome the new investments in Canada's research ecosystem, including the increase of the annual value of master's and doctoral student scholarships, and postdoctoral fellowships. As is the usual process following a Federal Budget announcement, we are awaiting further direction from the government concerning the announced scholarship and fellowship increases.  We will share more information with awardees and institutions once it becomes available.
