Just found out I was waitlisted for the course-based stream at the UofA (and was rejected for the thesis-based stream earlier this week). I'm disappointed and a bit lost - I am unsure how to improve my application for the next round / the future. I wish I had more clarity about my placement on the waitlist but Marsha said that she wouldn't have that information for a few more weeks. I assume the acceptances have been sent out already or are on their way - congratulations to those that have received good news. ❤️ Best of luck to those that didn't receive the news they wanted. This is a challenging endeavour, and I hope you are taking care.

For those applying to UofA, I came to know that that this year there will be 15-18 successful candidates (~5-6 thesis students) as opposed to the ~10 there have been historically. Last year, there were over 200 applications and I believe it is about the same this year... Best of luck to those waiting! ❤️

Hi all, I applied to Counselling Psychology programs this year at the University of Alberta (both course-based and thesis-based streams), as well as the University of Lethbridge. Last week, I received regrets from the University of Lethbridge and am waiting to hear from the University of Alberta. I am applying after finishing my undergraduate degree in 2021 and very eager to return to school and begin a counselling career. Fingers crossed for us all! Hope you are taking care while waiting for a response (and congratulations to those who have received interview invites).
