Congrats!! What's your concentration?? I got accepted as well!! I got the same exact scholarship, I'm hoping it's the generic acceptance letter and we'll get more specific funding from the VPA School. This was my top choice so if not...time to negotiate!! 😛

I just got my rejection from them, for painting. Putting me at 4/8 rejections....I know I only need one but the tunnel is getting smaller and smaller and I feel like I am going insane 😁

Hey! I'm not sure that it is a requirement of theirs, but it seems like that is the kind of cohort they try to build at UMD. They were actually on my list, but I ended up not applying because of how interdisciplinary their program seemed, and how much they seemed to love tech and art. I personally am more of a capital P Painter and am not interested in dipping my toes in other mediums that aren't 2D.

Friday I was notified I got rejected from OSU, UW-Madison just posted their decision as well, rejected 😕 UW was one of my top choices rip Trying really hard not to get discouraged but I'm just so dang nervous that I won't get into anything...I really need a win!! (both for painting btw)

Hey, just checked my UW Madison application paige and it updated today, 2/2, says "Application final processing; decision to be posted soon" I applied for their painting program. Does anyone have the same thing or something different?? I'm so nervyyyy Also, I got an interview invite from Syracuse yesterday, for painting.

Oh ya, 100%. There's also lots of programs still funded by rich people who care about the arts, like UArk and the Walton family, which oddly offer more financial security these days than government funding. It really feels like this application cycle is the last chopper out of 'nam lol. Just hoping to get into one program, that's all I need. Best of luck to you!!

Yah I emailed the person who sent out the email notifying their cancellation of mfa admissions, and was like heyyyy girlie is this a Michigan State problem or a US Funding type deal lol Her reply was: "We are sad too, but look forward to reopening admissions next year. This is a problem with public universities across the country. We were lucky not to have to cancel admission for this year but could not escape the current fiscal reality this year. If you are still looking for a program next year, keep us in mind." Ominous as hell...I am so nervous for funding and all that jazz...If only I got my stuff together and graduated with my BFA like 3 years earlier lol If you want, you can always reach out to UConn and ask why. Can't hurt, especially if you're curious and want to know. I didn't end up applying there so I never got that email

Hey, Haven't heard from any of those, but what department did you apply to? I haven't heard from three of those schools you had interviews for and I applied to all of those lol rip...but I applied for painting

I also applied to UW Madison for painting, haven't heard anything back. I know that's not helpful but maybe can offer some comfort lol. I think we'll know soon, like in the beginning of February.
