Still waiting on Fordham as well, but I got into NYU, Columbia and Lesley so far so I feel good about my options.

Brandeis! But I'm an alum, so I'm biased. There is lots of off-campus housing in Waltham (where the school is located) and the cost of living really isn't bad.

Nikkimanni - finally someone else who applied to Lesley! Was your interview last Monday, by any chance? =) I was at that one and still no word. So frustrating.

Oops! I meant the Ed.M program, not the MA program. We applied to the same one - thanks for the info! I got my decision via email on Monday. I grew up in Manhattan, so am very familiar with the city itself, luckily... Aside from the multicultural-ness of the program, has your friend said what aspects of the program she likes/dislikes? I'm so curious...!

I just got accepted into this program and have yet to hear about fin aid... but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything (good, bad, ugly) about this program. I live in another state and have not been able to visit or talk to anyone from the school yet, so I don't have a good sense of the program, other than what I've seen on the website. Any info is much appreciated!

Hey eleri, Honestly, I wasn't impressed with Suffolk when I went to their open house/info session, and I applied there as a safety. The student rep who was there was pretty candid about the fact that the department didn't help much with finding internships. I don't know... I just got a negative vibe overall. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I would go with Hunter. I also applied to both of those schools (for mental health counseling). I'm in Boston and several people I've spoken to here, who are professionals in the field, have said excellent things about Hunter, but have not said a peep about NYU when I told them where I applied. Which program do you like better?

Another counseling psych person, so excited! I got rejected from Northeastern too, yesterday. Ugh. What Harvard and Tufts program did you apply to? Congrats on the BU interview. I haven't heard anything from Columbia or NYU... so frustrating... but I have an interview at Lesley next month.

Wondering if I should give up hope - someone posted a while ago that they had already sent out interview invites, but I'm wondering if anyone else has heard a peep from them...

So I just got invited to a group interview for my first choice (I think) school. The thought of being in a GROUP dynamic for an interview makes me feel ill. Has anyone ever done this? I have no idea what to expect from this sort of experience...

Have any of you called admissions to ask about their "decision timeline" (ha ha) for schools that you thought you should have heard from by now? Is this ridiculously tacky? I am at work and all I have for distraction are my own obsessive thoughts... Apologies if there was a post about this already...

Chak - Thanks for the info - that is awesome! I had no idea that was possible with Columbia's program. Did you apply to other schools besides TC? I wish I knew how competitive these programs were in general - it seems like kind of a niche field (esp compared to Social Work), so not at all sure what to expect.
