I may be releasing from Minnesota. The admitted students day is tomorrow and I am waiting to make my choice until after I attend that- I was offered a fellowship there, but I have a couple of stronger offers elsewhere that are tough to beat.

Just received my rejection letter from university of oregon via email! Never interviewed so i assumed it was coming.

I was accepted into university of Washington last week via a phone call! I interviewed in mid-February. Was told they are changing their program to be a smaller cohort this year.

Reached out to UCI since they were the last school I was really waiting on (and definitely one of my top choices), found out I'm waitlisted - nothing showing up on the portal yet.

I haven't decided yet! I'm waiting until I hear back from the last program (UCI). It really comes down to who offers the best packaged offer at this point/seeing if there are negotiations to make. I'm going to visit a couple of the schools soon and I'm excited to see what they're like in person!

Just got my official acceptance into USC! Thought I'd give an update of where I'm at with all the programs in case that helps anyone with timelines: UOregon: nothing - assumed rejection UCSD: nothing - assumed rejection UMN: interviewed 1/26, waitlisted 2/10 UW-Seattle: interviewed 2/17 (verbal offer) - still waiting to hear back officially UCI: interviewed 2/18, invited to visit in-person - still waiting to hear back USC: interviewed 2/12, accepted 3/7 (nominated for awards, no clear amount, told I would hear "in the coming weeks") Syracuse: interviewed 2/5, accepted 2/27 (60% funded) UMich: interviewed 2/4, accepted 2/27 (TA + grants + fully funded) UIowa: interviewed 2/4, accepted 2/13 (Iowa arts fellowship + TA + fully funded) UTK: interviewed 1/21, accepted 2/4, rejected offer 2/16

Was also just accepted into Syracuse! Did not get an email yet but I logged into the portal and my offer letter was in there. I was only offered a 60% scholarship which isn't enough for me to go and in comparison to other offers so far, but still very exciting!

I was offered a teaching assistantship for both years with full tuition waiver + stipend!

Thanks mate! I keep hearing how difficult this round of applications has been for everyone going into graduate programs across the board due to so much funding loss. So many factors are outside of our control. But you've already had interviews with a couple of amazing programs which is definitely a good sign! Wishing you the best on the rest!

I am applying for painting or interdisciplinary programs (but I also have a friend who applied for many of the same programs in sculpture)- we both had interviews for Michigan at the beginning of February. I interviewed with UTK in January and was accepted in early February. Assuming UW is Seattle, I interviewed with them last week and was told that I should hear back this week. I wouldn't say hope is lost for all the programs you haven't heard from, except maybe UTK which seems to mostly be done with selections, as well as Michigan which finished interviews a couple of weeks ago- though it may be worth reaching out with an email to check? Important to note that different disciplines seem to notify at different times too, and waitlists can affect things a lot!

It's a really amazing program and I found out I am the nominee for the Iowa Arts Fellowship which would be a $21k stipend to focus on my practice on top of full tuition remission which is incredible! I am going to wait until I hear back from all of the schools I applied to before I choose, but this one seems tough to beat.

Thank you! I have no idea for that particular program... but looking at when people have gotten accepted into their MFA programs in the past it looks like they take their time/interview and give admissions later than most schools?

Damn thats is too bad when it comes to funding... this seems to be a common theme this year. I'm pretty shocked to hear about that coming from a UC school though! Congrats on the interviews so far regardless!

Not yet! They aren't done with their interview process until today or tomorrow I think? I had my interview last Wednesday but have a friend who has their's today.
