  1. I got the letter too!!! 🥲 I kinda feel good having another year to focus and try again. During this cycle I kept thinking, what if I had another year to work. Now that I am forced to try again, I feel so motivated and will try my hardest now. Also, UO's letter seemed like an informal acceptance and if I apply again next year it looks like it's almost a yes that I would be admitted so there is that option still there. I learned a lot on my first application cycle and now I can better approach it on the next! ps: lowk the next application cycle will be coming in so fast 7-8 months go by flying and I need to get to work!!!
  2. That's crazy given that it's a great program and fully funded. I guess people just found better options. Yes I applied to 7 UCB,UCLA, UO, Stanford, Yale, UCI, UChicago. Rejected from all but U of Oregon. They sent out their rejections on the 18th and my interview went great so there's a good chance I'm in. Should be hearing back anytime now.
  3. oh wow congrats! That's great. I got rejected, but I understand since I am pretty medium focused. Even if you don't get in this year you have a pretty great shot the next one!
  4. Hey, I got the same email. I saw someone here and another person in a different forum get their rejections on the 18th. I was also interviewed. I think we are in tbh. I have a feeling they're working on sorting out financial packages that's why it's taking longer given that they are struggling with funding.
  5. Thank you! TBH now I'm realizing that I am not a good fit for this program (probably should have given this application a little more thought before applying) looking at all their current candidates and alumni. They are all pretty much interdisciplinary artist and my portfolio currently is pretty photo focused. It's ok tho and I just wanted to see if someone here was able to get in already so I can let this go! I learned a lot on this round of applications.
  6. Was anyone here accepted to UC Berkeley Art Practice?
  7. Thank you for your words of encouragement throughout this process. Yes I think this is gonna be it for me and it might just be for the best. I am just waiting to hear back from UO and UCB. Didn't get an interview from UCB so I assume rejection and I got a feeling from my interviewer that UO's funding is not gonna be great. It feels terrible, but this will only make me stronger and focus on my work. I'll be ready for the next round! I'm only getting better. ps: would you mind sharing the list of schools you applied to?
  8. me too!
  9. Did you do an interview with them? Someone here who interviewed said they were sending out decision that same week but this was weeks ago.
  10. I also emailed UCLA and I got the expected response, "Notification is typically sent out mid-March directly from UCLA. At that time, all applicants will be invited, via email, to view their application decision status online through the application portal." That mid-march Sunday feels so close yet so distant...
  11. I emailed UO for an update and they said they have concluded their review process and they will be sending announcements in the next few weeks if this is helpful to anyone. Update: I inquired on a status update for UCI and they sent me the rejection letter an hour later lol. If anyone is still waiting on this school try emailing them!
  12. Wait what makes you say that? Do you know of someone who has now been accepted? I don't want to lose hope yet 😭
  13. Has anyone heard anything from UCLA? I think at this point they will just share decision all together mid-march? Did anyone who had an interview has any intel of when the entire faculty were doing their final meeting?
  14. This is solid advice!
  15. Congrats!! Was this your top choice?
