So I toured the campus back in November, but it was a quick tour of the art department because it was a tour mostly geared towards undergrad students. I didn't see much of the facilities but I did "sneak" into the MFA area and spoke with some of the current MFA students and they all said that the studio space was a good size and that the crits are super helpful. I also messaged some alumni from BC and asked their thoughts and almost everyone has said that they are happy they made the decision to go. Honestly, I really like the art that's been coming out of Brooklyn College for the last few years so that's a big draw!

Got my acceptance email from Pratt for painting! Anyone who got funding -- was that included in your acceptance letter or was a different email/message sent out? I would love to go here, but I cannot justify the price tag with no additional funding. Also, which department would I reach out to to ask about funding? I've seen people here say they've gotten schools to give additional money outside of scholarships and knock the price off the final cost. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Waitlisted at RISD for painting! After only getting rejections, a waitlist at RISD feels so refreshing. Does it help my chances by emailing admissions/department chair expressing interest if a spot does open up? And what are the chances of getting off the waitlist? What did they ask you and was it a panel of people? How was it informal? I have my interview with them tomorrow and I'm so nervous

has anyone heard from RISD painting MFA post-interview?

I know RISD sent me an interview invite on January 28 then I had my interview the week after but I haven't heard back regarding a decision yet! This is my first time applying for my MFA and I was NOT ready for the anxiety throughout the waiting process lol

Yeah I also applied to UIC and haven't heard anything back. My application portal says "Complete, Under Review with the Department" so unsure if that's good, bad, or neutral.
