Hi! I'm in the process of choosing the MSW program that I'll be attending this fall-- deciding between UChicago, Boston College, UMich, and UCLA. I would be doing a full-time, in-person, clinical pathway for each of them, and my goal is clinical/medical social work.
It's a very tough decision, so I would really love to get some perspectives on experiences with these MSW programs! If any current students/alumni/etc. (or just anyone with knowledge about the program!) would be willing to offer some opinions, I would so appreciate any and all input.
I would love to know what made you choose for your MSW program, what makes it stand out to you compared to other programs, what the community is like, how supported you've felt academically/in field placements/during the field placement process, ease of getting hired post-grad (especially if you left the state you got your MSW in) and anything that you think may be worth noting (or, if you DIDN'T choose any of these programs, would love to know that, too!).
