I decided to accept a position in University of Washington's painting and drawing and printmaking program! Anyone else going there, message me! I'm freeing up spots for CalArts, SAIC, and USC. Best of luck to whoever ends up taking them—each of the programs are so great in different ways. I also want to just say that the people I've met through this process have been stellar: y'all are kind, thoughtful, intelligent, curious folks, and I'm grateful to be in community (even anonymously through a forum). Good luck to everyone! ❤️

I knowwww, such a sad thing! It sucks so bad—arts funding is in a really bad place rn. In the letter, they said that changes in federal funding (i.e. the "big beautiful bill") are at the root of this decision. A reminder to us all that the toxic fingers of fascism spread everywhere. Down with the empire.

Has anyone received an acceptance to the U of O MFA? I interviewed in February and just got a form email saying essentially "sorry it's taken so long but we've just made our decisions" last week, but no official word yet.
