  1. Funny how people see the $225, but not the $415...
  2. Mine waived...for me...
  3. But imagine the difference if NYU could develop Global Affairs.... It'd be like the Elliott School at GWU or SFS at Georgetown...
  4. Yea---some UK schools charge, but a majority don't...which is interesting... and in the US--I think for a lot of schools, if you went there for undergrad, they waive your grad. app. fee.
  5. Blood Bath (Not a nice picture )
  6. MSFS - Georgetown. If only money was my problem...Getting in is my problem, I don't really mind the cost.

  8. On top of that, a Japn. grad. uni. i'm applying to costs me roughly $415 because of the low US dollar...
  9. Just curious, is there a reason why some uni.'s don't have application fees while others charge way more than the average? (Part. UK ones...Don't have app. fees, but schools like Georgetown is $225...) Edit: lol, with everyone being shocked...I'm still wondering why some charge...and some don't....it's rather odd to me.
  10. Thanks for the extended analysis---Safety school (SCPS). But, it would be nice if the MS for Global Affairs could develop into its own school, under the Center for Global Affairs. It'd be like...NYU--CGA. Who knows, it could happen one-day...
  11. Um---Still in the process...but 2 schools managed to destroy the first version and update it with my attached SoP. (I'm going to push my luck, and re-update all my schools with a better SoP---Final final version...might be too late though--)
  12. It seems like the people have spoken, and I'll just continue to put my clothes rack near the heater... I mean, I can't really find any advice against it...and there's no risk of fire-hazard...just warm clothes... But yea, if anyone thinks it might affect the clothes, let me know...I don't really want to ruin my exp. clothes....
  13. Grr...Don't really have another place to put my clothes rack--- But yea, I guess I'll ask for a few more opinions...I mean it's not like I'm putting them next to a furnace... But the heater is pretty strong, feels good I've left it like that for a month now, and just realized it since the heat got stronger...

  15. Um, not exactly sure...But, is placing a clothing rack near the heater/vent (no threat of fire...it's just hot/warm air), permanently a bad thing for the clothes? Or, does it not really matter? I just realized my building really stepped up the heat for winter...and I mean, my closets are full of clothes...So, I have a separate rack next to my bed and heater...

  17. Just curious on what the general consensus is on current "decent" int'l. relations/affairs graduate programs... Which means, no Harvard, Yale, Columbia--- I'm wondering what people here think are "decent' but not creme de la creme... Particularly in the UK-US...
  18. Lights Off
  19. Hmm---Is it too late already to switch to Wagner (Since I submitted my app. & fee for SCPS)? I'll probably leave it as my safety school... I even went and asked an IR prof. (PhD--Georgetown)... But, I have heard that the program is growing and would be better in the future... Grr... But thanks for the honest opinion...I mean, it's not an awful program right? It's still a "decent' graduate prog./school? (I guess I'm looking for assurance more than anything else...and my main focus is getting in somewhere in the UK though).... PS---A lot of the European IR programs end up with a Msc as well...Is that very different from an MS? I always thought they were the same...Master's of Science...)

  23. Fish Balls xD---Sounds funny...but I think they're a type of Chin. food...
  24. Just curious--If something like this happened TWICE, would is still be better to try and communicate with the grad. adm. offices? (For example, they ended switching out the incorrect one for an updated one---but the updated one still contains a subtle error---and will be fixed...)
  25. I know this topic has been discussed at least once...But, I couldn't find it, and there wasn't enough detail about it... So, I was wondering...If someone were to go for the Master's of Science in Globar Affairs at NYU-SCPS...Is it not well-respected? I mean, I've been hearing that NYU-SCPS is like an "adult" school or extension school...But, I was always under the impression it's a legit. NYU branch, founded way back when. Whereas extension schools were more recent less known... Eh, just wanted opinons on SCPS...
