  1. Thanks guys! Best of luck to everyone and congrats to those of you who have gotten in someplace! It seems that for the past few years, just getting in someplace--anyplace--is the hard part, let alone getting in to one of your top choices.
  2. I signed my acceptance form today! I'm off to Harvard in 4 months.
  3. A friend of mine was accepted at Duke, but will not be going there. I don't know for sure whether she has told them that yet though.
  4. I was wrong, Columbia is interviewing this year. Their interview is all day on March 25th and then there is a dinner on March 26th.
  5. Columbia is most likely not interviewing this year. And I believe they have made their decisions, but have not sent them out yet.
  6. They already conducted interviews and will notify those that interviewed by the end of next week. If you didn't interview, then you may not hear until mid-March. (I talked to someone on the phone about it on Thursday.)
  7. Sociology is vastly less competitive, particularly if you have research experience. So, you may want to ask yourself, is it better to be at a top soc program or a less prestigious psych program?
  8. Wharton has sent out interviews, though they were via skype. I did not get an interview and I was just rejected this afternoon. No surprise, given that I didn't get an interview.
  9. Congratulations!! Now any other offers you get are just gravy!
  10. It sounds like it went well then--that's awesome! And if his grad students said it wouldn't be a problem then I'm sure it will be fine. Have you met him before? I have interacted with a handful of profs at Harvard, so if you PM me his name, then I could give you my impression if I have met him (though that opinion would be based on only a brief conversation so take it with a grain of salt).
  11. How did your interview go?! That's super exciting to have an interview at Harvard, but honestly, I find it incredibly odd that your interview was with a grad student --don't you? Personally, it would make me wonder how involved that professor would be as an advisor if he doesn't even conduct his own grad school interviews. Feel free to PM me in response if you would prefer.
  12. I completely agree with this. Particularly in Management/OB programs (as opposed to finance, etc.), they are much more interested in your research experience than your GRE or GMAT score.
